It's like they're wondering what the big stone froggy is looking at.

I'm wondering why the big stone frog has started to crack open its shell at the eyes. Maybe to serve Gozer.

The cuteness of frogs is in direct opposite proportion to their relative size.

I am hesitating to share this with my weekly group (yeah we're a bunch of old nerds) since I'm not sure I want "dumb dumb mister" to become a common term....

Critter birth isn’t very cute, but puppies are coming!

Warning: messy https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=rwxJNOZzQUk

Two down, 3-5 more to go.  Will post pics when the poor mother is done with the ordeal.

Sorry.  Six puppies takes a while, then getting mama dog calmed down

https://youtu.be/H7SdXYtFwGc

All in all other than the length of time the mother did well, all her instincts are right, and the puppies were born with only one hitch.   The fifth one is noticeably larger than the others, and had a tougher than normal membrane sticking him to the placenta so got hung up with only his rear legs out.  A little massage to help his shoulders clear and he's ok (earlier pic from before we cleaned up and changed the blankets)

I'm annoying everyone here by saying "Number Five is alive"  why so serious?

Probably cuz it’s Poly’s 51st birthday and he passed out after drinking whisky and eating a 2-lb Snake River Farms T-bone steak  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

Pups 1 day old, need to clean up mama’s shed hair:

Day 3: Mama takes a break to survey her work
https://youtu.be/85JvUUyRHT0

Actually she pops out of the whelping box when she needs love.  Or steak.  It’s the same thing, isn’t it? awesome, for real

Should probably introduce the pups.  Interestingly (maybe?) their neck ruff becomes more pronounced in order of their birth.  No idea why, or if it's just chance.

NUMBER 1:

Has the little lightning-bolt shaped ruff.  I'd call her "Harry" but she's a she

NUMBER 2:

Has a larger triangle-shaped spot.  Also female.  Also will not hold still for pictures >_>

The children have given them all temporary names.  But I can't bear to call them shit like "Lettuce" or "Chadling."  Also it's going to be hard enough to let them go to their families as it is.

Day 4, puppies having a snack

https://youtu.be/VgKrlHPVacE

Number 3:  My daughter named this one after some Sanrio character, but Old Man Poly forgot which one  Ohhhhh, I see.

Numbe 4, aka "Spots":  Seems to be the favorite of most people.  Also by far the loudest and most vocal of the group

Day 5: https://youtu.be/hwsD0hX15bw

Number 5: This is the big boy.  He's still noticeably heftier than the others.  For some reason my wife is calling him "Seymour"

Number 6: A girl.  Yet my son keeps trying to name her "Chadling."  I fail to understand my boy at times....

Momma dog is feeling the impact of six hungry leeches, and eating everything she can get her paws on.  More so than usual, I mean.  Corgis consider all human food to be theirs, and they only reluctantly share with said humans...

I thought I could sneak the last of my birthday pie without her noticing.

I was wrong.

100% truth.
