Clydesdales are such beautiful and magnificent animals.  Actually, I think the various draft breeds don't get enough love in general.

I love both Clydesdales and Shires - like big dogs, I find big horses are often so very gentle and mild mannered.

Before and after the dissection?  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

Pictures from the Harbour Seal station in Friedrichskoog (Northsea, Germany) where orphaned baby seals get raised and re-introduced into the wild.

Fun fact: Baby seals that lost their mother are called 'Heuler' in German, meaning Howler. I guess it's obvious why...  Heartbreak

The way the kitten in the back is like "Here, just let me tuck this in for you" makes me giggle for some reason.  Your buddy is trapped in a glass fishbowl, and you're so OCD that you have to make sure his tail is in there with him?

I think it's more the big cat figured out the bowl acts as armor against their pestering.

Almost certainly not, and if I did I probably wouldn't look so happy about it!

Amazing nature tale:

Lioness kills an antelope mother than notices how cute the orphaned baby antelope is and adopts it:

Here seen telling other nearby male lions to kindly stay the fuck away:

It's not what it looks like! Some tourist-cars scare the lioness and she picks her new baby up - carrying it to safety. Antelope was seen  alive a few days after this picture:

I presume as soon as she the antelope loses the small child pattern its an afternoon snack, though. Nature is cruel like that.

It's sad, but you are right. Most likely the antelope will starve to death if it was still suckling from the mother.

For you, Calapine.

hehe...thanks! If I judge turtle-behavior correctly this one is just using the puppies at heat source.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

No.. i think i read it before. the antelope got eaten by another lion. And the lioness is pretty pissed, but what can you do? It's like adopting a cheeseburger and expect nobody to just reach into the fridge, toss it into the microwave and eat it.  awesome, for real

Well, we mark our sandwiches with our names and "Do not eat" before putting them in the fridge, so, lioness also should, um, mark antelope as its own.
