I've been getting rifles to drop during trading jobs.  If I put them in the fort's material depot, can others use them?  They do like 190 damage in the 2h slot and only require level 27 or so.

Which trading job? Just plain old trading?

No, you can't withdraw from the fort's resource stock.  Least, I don't think you can.

I'm pretty positive that access to the resource stockpile is strictly one-way, sadly.

Trading guns with the indians.  I get lots of good stuff from it.

Left town for a bit.  I have one guy farming me for xp and it's getting annoying.  I've hit him once in the last 10 duels and he's lower level than I am.  I guess that's the price for being a pure trader.

I'll join town again after I've built up some cash to donate.

Is there any point in us non-combatant types staying in town at this point? The town is built and the fort doesn't need anything until the devs make some more of its components actually do something. Perhaps we should move over to Trammel and max it out.

Builders & income earners to build up Trammel might make sense. People need to be in a town to get the good hotel (the one at the fort is actually faster) - paying for a good room every day cuts into income significantly. Adventurers with the premium character thing are good for a free level 4 room even when not in a town.

Other than camping another town for dueling, does anyone ever use a hotel outside of their hometown? I haven't really seen the need for it.

No.  It's kind of an over-engineered feature.  The only hotel use is a) Using your own hotel (at maximum quality) and b) Using the hotel of the people you're ganking (at minimum quality).  Letting you pick level 3 sleeping or whatever is just a waste.  There should just be a sleep button and in another town it costs $15.

Or one way to make it more relevant would be to require that you sleep in hotels if you're going on a long walk.  Like have your energy start going down if you walk for more than an hour.  Then you'd have to stop in hotels along the way.

Kind of a cockblock and I'm not saying anyone would enjoy it, but it would make hotels more relevant.

Well Trammel inhabitants must be able to use the Fort Barracks right? They're officially allied as far as the fort goes and their builder has been building fort stuff.

So if the builders and money makers switch over to Trammel we can just use the fort until the Hotel is built up a bit.

Edit: Heh, it's not an issue. The Trammel hotel is already level 5.

I'm going to switch over to Trammel since I've exhausted the stock in Bat Country (for now). Send me an invite please.

If someone is around to KO me over the next 1.5 hours or so this would be a very good time. I only have about 330 hit points and I'm in Trammel now. I want that uninterrupted 48 hours to build stuff.

Probably just as well - with the latest changes (as seen on the front page) volunteering to lose a duel like I just did may now be against the rules.

So it's legal to have characters on world 9 now. Is there any interest is sharing some of our famous Bat Country magic over there? I'd like to try being something other than a builder.

Conversely, I am going to start up on W8 and join ya'll. Thinking about a melee dueler. Any advice?

I ended up in the bottom left sector of the world. I'm thinking that I'll go adventurer as well. An evil adventurer that wanders the world killing builders and then hiding in his hotel room.

Cool. Make us a town when you get $300. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I suppose I should go melee too - I don't have a melee character yet.

Not too bad, I'm in the southwest most county. I'm thinking of making a pure construction soldier. You know, for leveling purposes, then I'll Eagles it over to dueling and accuse people of attacking a builder or something.

I might rollout a soldier as I wanna try out a pure resistance build, then I can protect you from those nasty horrible duelers who ruin the game for everyone.

I'm going to escape, come back, wipe this place off the face of the Earth, obliterate it and you with it.

I have a pure tactics adventurer on W1 as an experiment and it's pretty easy to level. Despite the recommendations of the forumtards, a pire hiding build sucks shlong for levelling. A pure tactics soldier could do well as some kind of bizarre job-tank build  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?
