Wait, it gets fucking better. Rickey Williams close to being reinstated. Rumor has it that a deal is close to being done that would reinstate him at the end of the year, he would serve a 4-game suspension, then come back next year with his Dolphins' contract being enforced. Meaning, the Dolphins would trade him to some team, because I don't see any Dolphin wanting to suit up next to him. |

Ricky is the only thing that might save that teams offensive woes. Miami is second to last in points for (only the Skins are worse) and they have a -70 point margin PF/PA (3rd worst next to Oakland and SF). They haven't even crested 900 rushing yards on the season after 10 games, and they only have 4 rushing TDs. And they'll trade him if he comes back? |

Yep. Most of the Dolphins' players and front office wants nothing from Rickey but the $8 million signing bonus he owes them. Another team will want him, and they can probably get something decent in return.

Ricky still doesn't want to play. His most recent quotes showcase that pretty clearly. Williams' agent, Leigh Steinberg, and his attorney, David Cornwell, both think it's likely that he'll return to football next year. Steinberg calls Williams' departure "a sabbatical.'' But Williams said, "I understand their wishful thinking. It's easy math. If I play, it puts more money in their pocket.'' |

A few weeks ago they were talking about Williams on ESPNews, and to be honest I have more respect for him now that I know that one of the reasons he takes pot is that it helps him with his anxieties. I suffer from anxieties myself and if I thought pot would help me without any side effects I'd take a few hits too.

As far as the NHL, this should really be a seperate thread, but fuck the players. I'm disgusted every time I see one of them on TV trying to give some kind of lame explanation for their side. It makes me want to vomit pathetic.
Just come out and say "Hey we like making lots of fucking money and really couldn't give less of a shit about the fans or anything other than ourselves", and I'll at least respect you for being honest.
Mr. Williams is pretty honest about his situation. His stance is "Hey, me rikey drugs and I'm fairly nuts" - and everyone is pretty ok with that.
