I need sculpture, will send you sandals.

I'm getting ready to launch my 3rd city, but beginning to feel the futility of it all.

I have leather and henna.  What should I get for 3rd?

Everybody needs a lot of jewelry all the time. I'd recommend gold or emeralds; that's what I'm doing with my third (haven't decided which though).

It's interesting; gameplay gradually gets more involved as users play, while interest wanes. Yet users start out very interested, but gameplay is slow. I wonder how well it would play if they reversed that; the more you play, the less maintenance it requires.

I went for oil for my third, it's paying off nicely already. Might want to check what kohl is selling for in your range, too. No one built cities on it because it was pretty crappy to start with, but now that you need a shitton of it to upgrade brickworks, it's holding steady in my area for 7-10 while all the other raw stuff (except oil, which is usually at 10) has dropped to 5-7. Jewelry has been going for pretty cheap because lots of people are making it.

I could use some more gold if you've got it cheddar, I'm still at least another day out from founding a gold city.

I need a metric shitton of cedar too, around 2k or so, I'll go 1:1 for kohl or 3:1 cosmetics/sandals

Also, more sculpture, I think prospero told me that to upgrade from 10-11 you need like 1k sculp per city, so i'll need..6k

I have SHITLOADS of sandals (I've filled the warehouses in two of my cities) and will trade at the usual rate for anything except for cedar, bronze, or sculptures.

Anyone here taken a monument yet? I've some military questions...
When attacking, is it possible to send a force from two different cities to attack simultaneously?

Is it possible to move forces between cities?

Is there a point to developing military in two cities, or should I just build all 3 barracks in one city?

Any suggested palace level I should reach before attempting monumental conquest?

About how many soldiers are needed to take a monument?

Which of the troop types is the most powerful?

Not cities in different nodes, and not simultaneously even if they're in the same node. Attacks are done within the city, and only with that city's troops.

No, but once it's captured, you can send troops from any city to any monument.

Quote

If you have cities six hours away from each other, then troops will take six hours to reinforce the other city's monument. But I've found that only one city's military is sufficient for one monument. (So far!)

Quote

Troops take bread, 1 per soldier, so you'll need lots of it if you want a big army. That's about it, though.

Quote
About how many soldiers are needed to take a monument?

I think about 50. It seems one soldier is worth two bandits or something. Unless you're taking it from another player, in which case I'd recommend 2-to-1 odds.  DRILLING AND MANLINESS Even a couple soldiers at a time can wear down an enemy, if you just want to pick at it. (That's what I did.)

Quote

I suspect charioteers because they're more expensive, but there may be some weird rock-scissors-paper thing going on, particularly in pvp.

I need about 700 cosmetics, and can afford the limestone. Limestone seems to be selling at about the same as any base rare resource, so...3 for 1?

Edit: I dunno how you guys can amass thousands of resources. I have a hard time keeping above 100 of anything. >_< CRAZY HORDERS ALL YOU

That's because you sell it all on the market at ridiculously undercutting prices, you bastard.   Shaking fist

(edit) Also, schild should feel free to ship me some of his bricks that he obviously doesn't have anything to build with.   Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?  I think that stockpile would just about cover my next round of palace upgrades.

Anyone have pottery and baskets up for trade, and what is the going rate for them?

Edit:  How the hell do I get laborers to a monument plot? I stole one from someone in another nome and tried freeing up laborers in all 3 of my cities, but I still can't assign any to the quarry.

After freeing them up in a city, go to that city's exchange, then click the 'To Monument' link and send them to the monument. When they arrive, you can then add them to the quarry.
