Yes, you have to build a sculptor on a shop lot. Takes two bronze and four clay to make one statue. And to build ships, you need to build an exchange and then get your hands on some cedar. There's a bug where you need 26 cedar for a ship instead of 25. They also take forever to build! |

You need them to send goods past your market range. Inside your market range you can just trade via buy orders. You also need 3 to colonize a new city. |

You should try to find people only a few Zones away when boat trading. Example, Ing is only 1 Zone above me, so any trades would take 18 minutes. Sjofn's Character is dozens of Zones away from me, trading between us would take 68 HOURS.
