Pharaoh Tutngore, City of Seplatur. Just west of Bat Country.

Ooo, you got Cedar.

You're one block north of us.

Looks like I'm right there with you guys, down a couple and on the river.

Mine just hit level THREE. I think I'll be stuck here for awhile, maybe forever, since none of my neighbors are selling the crap needed to escape.

I am also trapped in level three limbo, because none of the losers near me are making perfume or jewelry. Losers, I say!

yeah, palace level 3 is a bitch.  Do what I did, buy/trade for the raw materials and make the stuff on your own, demolishing one shop for another as necessary, keeping em at level 1.

Bricks are 1.4 bread cost, so you only lose 14 bread doing this, as opposed to paying comissions/exhorbitant prices for finished goods.

People only eat when they're working.  Not enough bread just means you need to de-assign some laborers until you can increase your bread production.

Points are attached to palace level, the next point is level 4 if my reading of the forums is correct.

I'm making my own damn perfume, it is likely I will attempt to make my own damn jewelry next unless the people around me get their asses in gear. Part of the problem is my resource isn't really needed by anyone around me yet, so I don't have much leverage for trades. Woe!

There's gold just north of me, and I cut a deal for a bunch of emeralds, so in theory I should be able to make my own jewelry soon, at least enough to get to 4. No idea how I am going to get perfume locally though.

Nobody seems to be working the market near me. I'm not sure what to put up my excess Reed, Clay or Wheat for to get more Bread.

This is awesome, there's some fool next to me who keeps putting cedar up on the market for 1 bread.  I bought him out, put it back up for 3x the price, and it sold within the hour.

You should have put it up for 8x the price, mine sells out within the hour when I list it for 8 per. I am going to keep pushing it upwards and see where it finally stops selling.

I'm surprised that there are people seriously working on the rare resources at this point.  I still haven't gotten to the point of being able to do anything with them yet (about to start working on palace level 3).

Cedar is in early game demand because you need it for making boats, which you need for making deals with people outside your market range.

I'm sure there's some measurement you can make, being that one worker produces 1 Rare per hour, while it takes 1 workers to make 6 bread (which takes 12 wheat or 1.5 workers).

So 2.5 workers to make 6 bread an hour iis 1 worker = 2.4 bread an hour. So 3 bread probably isn't out of the question for one rare material. Then there's if you have a good item or not...

I think you might want to factor in the bread cost (1/hour) of each working worker though. Those 2.5 workers only net you 3.5 bread per hour once you take out their wages, and that 1 rare per hour takes 1 bread input as a cost.

I think it comes out to be the same, ignoring costs.

Lesse... 2.5 workers = 3.5 Bread / hour, 1 worker = 1.4 Bread / Hour.

... (1 Rare + -1 Bread) / Hour Net Gain = 1 Worker

... (1 Rare + -1 Bread) / Hour Net Gain = 1.4 Bread / Hour...

1 Rare - 1 Bread = 1.4 Bread...

1 Rare = 2.4 Bread.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
