K9 do searches for Biker Boots.. that's what that style of boot is. You can probably find something similar although they will probably still be a bit pricy.

Then you'd only need one!  @Evilrider, the problem with biker boots is that most are far too heavyweight for my preferences. I'm looking for something more like riding boots, but not so tight. So something between riding boots and biker boots. But thanks for the suggestion, gives me a more refined search term :) |

Why don't you just buy riding boots for people with fat calves? I've seen fat legged people in riding boots. Why you'd want to wear something like that is... well, none of my business is what it is.

Just get some comfortable low boots and some big spats. That's what those look like anyway. Cheaperthandirt usually has some in fall.
I'm less concerned with fashion than foot protection, but I do have a nice pair of 26hole zipper side Docs in a metallic ox blood. Pure Fucking Class with my tux.

Finding a good pair of nice brown shoes that go with jeans is *hard*
I always just went with a pair of suede Lugz boots. I can't figure out what else to do with myself in a pair of jeans. I've been doing that for.. I don't know, six or seven years now. Served me well when I had someone on the ground, though. Hard plastic toe, that I've actually broken before. No idea how. |
