Peter Molyneux gives Fable II '9 out of 10' 360 News | One point deducted because he's so humble. CVG is reporting that in an interview with their cousin magazine, Xbox World 360, Fable II creator Peter Molyneux has rated his own game a "9 out of 10." Molyneux believes, "It's the best, most complete game I've ever worked on. The look is perfect, the interface is fantastic. It's a role-playing game, but where are all the f***ing icons? Aren't you supposed to be cluttering the screen up with mini-maps and the like? Not us." Peter Molyneux has previously found success with with games such as The Movies, Black and White and the original Fable. Fable II is believed to have recently gone gold at Lionhead, and is expected to launch on Xbox 360 in Australia on October 25th, 2008. http://palgn.com.au/article.php?id=12640All I can say is

I predict it will have fun spots, but a few massively annoying bits will fuck it up. So pretty much like every game he has every been involved with.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Fable 1 wasn't an epic game for the ages or anything, but I liked it well enough.

If Peter "Hyperbole" Molyneux only gives it a 9 out of 10 I don't want anything to do with it. It probably gives you cancer.

He's actually managed to tone down a lot of his annoying habits this time around it seems. I don't think he announced any features for Fable 2 until he was actually ready to show them off for instance.

I enjoyed the hell out of Fable but it felt like a demo, not a full game. I'm willing to give this one a shot if impressions are favorable. Molyneux has been a lunatic since I can remember, no news there.

I like how him giving his own game 9 out of 10 is generally considered to be 'toned down' compared to what he used to do.

I enjoyed Fable on the PC, but I hear it was far more complete than the Xbox version in terms of content. I'll give Fable 2 a go-around whenever it gets ported.

Speaking in an interview with CVG's paper cousin, Xbox World 360, Molyneux says he hasn't made "the same mistakes I made in the past," with the second Fable.
"Black & White, The Movies, Dungeon Keeper, pretty much every game I've ever done has had interesting features thrown in to the pot without worrying what the flavour was like," he said.
"I'd rate it a 9 out of 10," Molyneux added, when asked if he'd fulfilled his original vision with Fable II.

I just hope there's someone doing the voices besides the same three cockney voice actors he has in every game...

I thinkI'll wait for a couple more people to review this before I trust his own review.

I'm looking forward to this, but with some trepidition. It looks good, but Peter's track record hasn't been particularly good lately (and not so lately).
Since Fallout 3 will be out just a week later, I might hold off until reviews come in. The temptation is I'm looking for another "couch" game for my 360, since I spend way too much time on the PC with WoW, assorted retro-games, and no doubt Sacred 2 when it comes out. I need a new 360 game, damnit!
