Brady's out. Anyone interested in anything I have, send me some actual offers for a QB. I'll look over any I get before Wednesday morning and make my decision then.

You still might squeak out a win since I got boned by having my kicker and TE benched.

As far as a QB, Schaub should be ok. You missed out on a good RB by taking Brady and no trade is going to fix that.

AARON RODGERS - TCB, BITCHES!

I have no worries about Rodgers as QB for the Packers. I thought he'd be good and he didn't disappoint. He'd have been better with a decent running game and an O-Line that wasn't committing penalties every second play. But the Vikes are a good defense, at least against the run, and he made some damn good plays. I still don't think the Pack will be 13-3 but the Vikings don't seem that improved from last year and the Lions are abysmal. If the Bears are as for real as they looked, it'll be a good division.

Somehow I always get Bouldin and Brees. I hate them both.

Let's talk trade. Not for Brees, but Bouldin I'll consider.

If Tom Brady is on the table, we can work something out. Otherwise, I don't think we have anything that complements our teams. I'm already set at RB.

Yeah, watching that was uhh. Grisly. I mean, I'm from colorado and it was 'our guyz' who were beating the shit out of those fuckers, and there was a rightful rivalry for which denver deserved to kick the shit out of them (shanahan was boned unfairly by the owner of the raiders) so it was a righteous and good beating, and yet it was still so gratuitous that I was wincing.

All I need is for Aaron Rogers to collapse under the pressure and heave a bunch of picks to steal the win!

Every year there's a defense that gets a shit-ton of turnovers, and every year that team regresses toward the mean the following season.  Yet every year I blow a too-early Fantasy pick on last year's "that team."

As a fan, though, it was good to see Rogers play so well.  All I need now (in addition to the now-obvious Steeler Super Bowl win) is to watch Favre's inevitable implosion and my season will be complete!

Tony Scheffler catches one pass for 72 yards and I win. Phew.  How sad that it took that to beat a roster with Brady.

Ya, I'm awesome like that.

Total spite pickup though, just didn't want whoever had Brady to get a quick replacement good for 15+ points a game just because of Moss.

I now concede that one RB slot is stupid. I should have done a RB/WR flex and a pure TE slot.

What changed my mind? Wiith 14 teams, the depths we have to plumb in WR land are deep. Deep to the point that there are RBs on the RB-by-committee teams that would be competitive with many of the WRs that are getting roster slots. I tried to get cute and gave up flexibility to manage one's team week to week.

You bastard.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Weird fucking weekend in football. That Denver/San Diego game? Fucked. Totally fucked. How you can 1) call that Cutler fumble an incomplete pass to begin with, 2) review it and call it a fumble and STILL not give possession to the correct team and 3) admit you fucked up and fall back on the "rules wouldn't allow it" schtick... no, fuck that. You blew the call and replay was put in to fix that kind of shit. The whistle should never enter into it. Either the whistle is the final arbiter or the replay is. And how is it that the NFL is STILL relying on the TV cameras to capture their replay video and not their own cameras? Suck it up, NFL. Either spend the money to install your own official cameras and then use them to the fullest, including when some mongoloid gets a jumpy whistle, or scrap the whole goddamn system. That game was a joke.

Colts... WTF? It takes 7 quarters into the season before you start acting like an offense? Minnesota should have buried the Colts, but they stopped giving Peterson the ball and Tavaris Jackson let the Colts back into the game. Vikings face facts. He blows. He will probably never be consistent enough to be a starter. Get a good QB to run the offense before Peterson gets run down with 40 rush games.

Saints... get a defense.

So how the hell did 1) the Packers let Detroit get back in that game and 2) run up 24 points on them in 3 minutes? Even getting blown out, Kitna is a decent fantasy QB for me. He won't replace Brady's points, but I think he might give me more than Schaub would.

Maybe Testaverde has a home in Minnesota!

I also want to note that Aaron Rogers has proven that I know nothing about NFL offensive players.  The guy is showing more than I ever thought him capable of.  I look forward to seeing how he manages against high quality secondaries.

He plays against my Boyz this week..... so you have to wait awhile longer for that challenge  :P

They are better then last year though, pulled off some good plays.  With Roy Williams sidelined for awhile maybe TEs won't curb stomp us too.

There's something to be said about quarterbacks being "held back and kept down" for years. Brady was one of em, as was Romo. Yet, the guys with all of the hype rarely amount to much (I'm looking at you, Vince Young).

Give Vince a while. He's a fragile flower.  Ohhhhh, I see.

Oh and the Vikings? They named Gus Frerote as their starter for the rest of the year. Yeah, it's like that. I humbly proclaim the NFC North to be Green Bay's division for the taking.

A .44 point loss my be my closest ever  Heartbreak

Still, I'm not going to be too upset at tossing up 99 points while one of my WR's didn't even play. What a bunch of pussies. WR's don't get injured this much.

Haha, yeah that's rough, but I can't say I'm disappointed. I have Bryant on my other league roster, and wasn't too happy to see him put up a goose egg.

I was only able to win my F13 week because Westbrook was held out of his game. I had Westbrook last year, and while being a fantasy juggernaut, I remember two or three games where he sat out due to injury or the defense was so stacked against him, he couldn't pass scrimage. So, it was either a 30 point effort from him or nothing. Glad that nightmare is past me.

Looks like I'm going to win both games this week despite not updating my roster.  I remembered the Colts were coming off their bye as I was driving to breakfast.

Keeping Matt Ryan in worked OK.   Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Yeah, I'm on the verge of just throwing my hands up and whining "let me know if you guys want to go back to real rules next year" territory with this team.  Just can't seem to put it together without RBs.

I think we need to really stick by the

QB
WR
WR
TE
RB
WR/RB
K
DEF

roster from now on. Only change due to league size should be maybe removing a WR.

Man, yet another weird ass football season is just beginning to get weird.

Atlanta... WTF? I realize Green Bay is without Al Harris but you really can't fucking beat Atlanta with a rookie QB?

That Colts game was cra-zy. Rosenfels played great until he mistook himself for O.J. Simpson. But then to lose it again on the next drive to lose the game? That's just CRAZY. The Colts played like shit most of the game, and that defense is a fucking nightmare. It isn't just that Sanders is missing and they can't stop the run, it's that they can't stop ANYTHING. Rosenfels passed on them left and right, and it was only when they should have been running the clock out that they really got to him.

Need a pure RB slot in there.

Once again, this was my fault. I was wrong. Good intentions don't mean shit when it screws up the fun.
