Are US magazines laid out like that? I think I'd be more interested if they got creative with their page arrangement.

It seems like you can actually control your party member's actions (see: the yellow circle behind the health displays that says "Command" in bottom pictures). That already makes the combat 5x more enjoyable than P3. Money grab or not, I'm already there.
Well that, and the vain hope that it will help me get "Someone help Mitsuru-senpai!" out of my brain.
