It just draws attention to the sad fact that they don't make cars like they used to, with all steel frames.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

Actually I just got warm fuzzies that, you know, people got together and lifted a car off the guy.

Exactly why I thought it was awesome.

It's all fun and games until the insurance gets denied.

It was pretty awesome. The full video is funnier though, as the gif cuts out a bit too soon. As soon as they pull the guy free, the entire crowd just scatters instantly away from the fire, and the camera lingers on a shot of just the car and the victim just splayed out on the pavement - ends up looking like the crowd took off and forgot to bring the body.

You don't have to imagine, you can see it in the face, fingers and arms.  Maybe not a "fatty" by current standards where - for some reason - 155# and 5'-4 seems to be acceptable but on the bigger side.

Not sure if the guy made it, but the rescue is pretty damned awesome.

If he's the owner of the car, which he very well might be, then I'd say chances are he's in shock and has no fucking idea what to do.

The sad part is the comments on that video from the mouthbreathers who, when faced with evidence, find ways to espouse the wonderful logic of "fuck new cars"

I thought newer cars were heavier than older cars, despite the advancement in materials, due to the addition of safety equipment.

So.Much.HDR.

While it added a nice creepy level to some of them, by the end I just felt tired of looking at them.  Very nice shots, though.

 ACK!

Just the thought of trying to climb up to the top of that old decaying wooden roller coaster by hand is fucking scary.  That's really high up, and really god damn steep.

There's almost certainly a ladder - they have to have those for evacuating people who get stuck on the top etc.

Having actually been there, at least when it was called Jazzland, I can say looking at some of those pics is very fucking eerie. I get this same feeling looking at pics of the ferris wheel and bumper cars in Prypiat - though I never went there.

This one is scratching my OCD something awful.

Lightroom and photography blogs have jaded me and I am noticing a lot of things I wouldn't have a year ago. Fringing, chromatic aberration, barrel distortion and rotation issues, willful abuse of colour saturation and luminance.... It all just cheapens what are some otherwise really interesting photographs.

So not a ladder, but there is a stairway up the side.  You still couldn't pay me enough to walk up the damn thing.

That place was in a Sons of Guns episode recently.  They made a prop gun for some Jeffrey Dean Morgan movie that was shooting there, on that rollercoaster even.

Any idea where it was taken?  Looks Japan'ish to me.
