Neanderthal Museum: Mettmann, Germany

Well you see, Garry, you really can't top napped obsidian. I know the anatomically modern humans are doing some interesting things with bone, but what you've got here is durability, a sleek, user-serviceable design, and an edge that just won't quit.

Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer is one of my favorite SNL bits, not that there’s many. Phil Hartman was a funny dude.

Yes that is the cast and yes that is a teaser holiday picture. Seems Diego and Klaus decided on the long hair grunge look.

The fuselage of a 737 can fit inside the diameter of one engine on the new Boeing 777x.

Seems like it would be a lot easier to just like, fly the plane to Germany.

There needs to be some lopped-off hands still clutching the phones to make it art.

Crewmen of the airship “Graf Zeppelin” repair the hull during the flight over the Atlantic, 1934

He made a few other pictures, like:

More Zeppelin:

And maybe obvious, but the gondola is deceptive. A Starr-Luftschiff isn't a hot air balloon. Most of it's useable volume is inside:

So, you had Graf  Zepplin over mountains, over the Pyramids and here in Switzerland, lake Constance:

It looks so future tech somehow :)

Last fall I was in the Zeppelin museum in Friedrichshafen were you can walk around in one and see how it was built. And I can collaborate that. Zeppelins were cool as fuck, even if not commercialy viable anymore after they had to switch to Helium.

There also was a Zeppelin car there in the museum which I would love to take for a drive.

I used to live near the Bodensee, and it was super cool taking a ferry across the lake and seeing the Zeppelins criss-crossing the skies above, with a wall of Alps as a backdrop.
