That article loses for mentioning Gods and Heroes as an example of a game in similar shape. I can't say for AoC because I haven't seen it, but G&H at the point of 'hiatus' had been declared pretty much feature complete and was down to bug fixing. Everything it lacked was by dev choice, not because they'd run out of time.

Also, G&H was on 'hiatus' because STO came along and was a more attractive property to develop.

If AoC is in the state it's currently in as indicated by that rumour, they're closer to being Vangard than G&H.

If it's being done server side with some sort of IP or client-side filter, I give it maybe two weeks before third party patches are availlable that let players wherever they may be play AoC unburdened by such censorship.

I've read all of REH's Conan stuff, and I don't remember him putting a huge emphasis on nipples in his stories.  Anyone playing the 'REH is turning in his grave' card could be nitpicking bigger changes to the lore than that.

As far as nipples in Conan, who can forget this classic bit:

QJ made the leap from "we read it on the forums" to it's official now. The text of the forum post don't sound so definitive. Just because it was submitted by Eidos that way doesn't mean they can't censor it again. I don't think the ESRB rating process requires an entire top-down re-review of the game if it changes to add censorship.

At the same time, I'd think getting a Mature 17+ rating sould be exactly on target for them anyway.

(and why would they say "Mature 17+"? Isn't "Mature" 17+ already?)
