Missed kickoff in the GB-SEA game, so eat an autoloss there. My pick in that one would be "lol nfc who cares" anyway.
NE over JAX IND over SD DAL over NYG lol NFC here, but Giants seen loler.
1-3 in week one!

Gee 14-0 Seahawks in the first 4 minutes.
I'm feeling good about my "Green Bay will choke in the first game" prediction so far.
EDIT: Wow, 14-14 now still in the first quarter. This is not the game anyone expected in terms of scoring.

I will only make one pick: Jags over the Pats in the late game. I don't know why but I have an instinct that this is the only team left that can beat Brady and Co.

This is completely insane. It's 21-14 Packers now. There's a very solid chance they'll surpass the over/under of 44.5 in the first HALF.

I was sort of rooting for Seattle before kickoff because its f13's official team (in my mind) but then they got spotted 14 points by Grant. So I was rooting for Favre and now he's just awesome. So I'm going to keep rooting for Favre in the second half, the man is fantastic, also AJ Hawk 4tw.

Hasselbeck is falling apart.
EDIT: This snow is nuts.
EDIT2: Considering that they basically spotted Seattle 14 points, this is a serious ass-whooping.

The game isn't close but I love watching Favre. They're playing in a blizzard!

The snow, the first period, and the last Hasselbeck almost-self-fumble were definitely worth the ticket.

God I love snowball. FUCK YOU PUSSIES IN DOMES. Sad to see Seattle get their asses kicked, but Green Bay looked fucking good today. Good job by the D and the receiving corps worked that shit today. A lot of stretching out and cutting back for soft passes and making plays happen.

Green Bay's safety is a wrecking ball. Lots of good hits from both sides, especially early on, but Bigby is a brute.

95 yds against the Pat's. JAX looks pretty hungry.

Hasselbeck is a whiney pussy. If he spend half the effort throwing the ball that he did bitching at the refs, Seattle would have at least been in the game.
Jacksonville is hanging with the Pats, but as we've seen in the past, the first half is meaningless with that team. If Jacksonville is leading in the 4th quarter, I'll start getting jumpy.

I'm not really sure what Jacksonville is thinking with their defense. They are giving Brady a month to throw and hoping he makes a mistake.... Yeah that's going to work.

If they blitz they are looking at man coverage on the outside receivers and NE will kill them with the bomb. Playing against the Pats offense is a Hobbsian endeavor.

Well they held the pats to a fieldgoal for the first time blitzing. That's slightly better than a TD every time.
I do agree with you that they weren't going to win the game regardless but sitting back hoping for a mistake isn't how you play the Pats. The only teams I have seen stop the patriots forced mistakes with a good rush on the QB. They didn't win the game in the end, but they didn't sit back and try and cover the receivers all night hoping they make a mistake.

Those teams generally had much better cover-corners and safeties. Jacksonville's secondary isn't that great.

Seriously, just fuck Field Goals against the Pats. You'll lose the game the moment you start doing that, even if it is the right call in that situation against any other NFL team. If you are less than 10 yards to a first down, and you kick a FG against the Pats, you are doomed.

Ummm, yeah, I was right about the Seahawks and the Packers. Grant ran the fuck all over their defense, AFTER coughing it up twice. The only real good series the Hawks D had was that second Grant fumble. The first fumble was all Grant's fault, the second was a good hit. After that, their defense just never showed up, and not having any sort of running game whatsoever just killed the Hawks. Sorry, Way. Even when Green Bay went down 14, I still knew they'd come back. Green Bay's offense is just too good, and the great part is that now it's a balanced attack.
The Jags looked damn good, but yes, that defense should have blitzed, at least on passing downs. They also should have done a damn sight better against the run, their tackling was poor especially at the second and third level. Garrard showed me a lot, though. That guy is going to just get better, and his receivers are getting better too. They aren't on the Patriots level yet, but I don't think anyone is. If they were in any other division in the league besides the AFC South or East, they'd win that division hands down. I'd actually put them on the same level as Green Bay and Dallas, mainly because Garrard makes so few bad passes. Unfortunately, he made as many bad passes in the playoffs than he did the whole regular season (3 INT's in reg. season, 3 INT's in the playoffs).
I have to LOL at the people picking the Giants, or expecting the Giants to put up great numbers against Dallas. It is to laugh.

If the Colts play anything like this next week the Patriots are going to just romp them, but at least this is a close game for now.

Wow the chargers with just about everyone of their starters hurt look like they are going to play the Patriots.....
This will be an interesting finish to say the least. I don't agree with the three straight runs but I've never thought Norv Turner was a smart coach.
Yeah that's going to be a good game.

Not so fast. 1:35 is a long time for Manning with 1 timeout.

1:03 no timeouts and no Reggie Wayne. Still think they have a chance?
The shot of Rivers yelling at the fan was rather amusing. At first glance I thought the fan was flipping him off but he was just holding up his hand.
Either way the Chargers have no chance against the Pats.
