Why is that in the funny thread?

Nah, you're correct, it's pretty funny.  People here are just overly sensitive sometimes.   awesome, for real

I own that exact Super Soaker (unmodded). That thing was awesome when it was working. I think one of the kids busted a seal in it as it doesn't keep pressure anymore.

I really hope Wikipedia never gets so obsessive about their guidelines that they eliminate entries that read like this:

"He supported the idea of National Democratic Revolution but then he refused it. He admired guevarist guerilla groups in Latin America (Tupamaros), and he created a strategy which was called people's revolution and democratic revolution. He and his 10 friends abducted two NATO technicians. They went to an old village house in Kızıldere with the technicians. They wanted Deniz Gezmiş and his friends not to be executed. But gendermas did not accept their demand and bombed the old house. Only Ertuğrul Kürkçü survived this attack."

If Ertugrul Kurkcu didn't himself write the entry, I'd be very surprised.

Also, how the fuck did this thing get as big as it did?  God damn internet.

Because people really have no idea how cameras and eyes work. As a photographer I think this entire dress thing is great. I can use it with clients as an example of why they should hire a proper photographer, who understands colour rendition, to shoot their products.  awesome, for real

That has been my major takeaway from this.  My already-low estimation of the average human has been lowered another notch.  Thanks, Internet!

Don't turn it into a downer - blame it on the fact that not enough people take LSD any more, which decouples your eyes visual input from your brain's processing centres, and which taught me to look at things in ways which I can never unsee.

That damned picture literally broke my visual cortex. When I first saw it, it was obviously blue and black. I stared at it for a while and it turned into white and gold. Then it started cycling back and forth over a period of a few seconds. Then it somehow managed to be both white/gold and black/blue at the same time, but not in the same way.

I had to go look at cute kittens before the portal opened and the Elder Gods ate me.

See, because I'm apparently some sort of weird logical robot, I just looked at it and was like "the colors on the screen are bluish white and darkish gold.  But the physical object the image represents could easily be a different color depending on the lighting and camera conditions the picture was taken under, and if I imagine different conditions then my mental model of the object will adjust to match."  And then went about my day.  You humans baffle me.
