That picture looks like, "I drank a shitload of beers and told Earl to drive me to a beach. Aw, fuckit I'm gonna tan on the way there. Earl set up the damn chair in the back."

I should not be laughing at that as much as I am.

Apparently not true.  Somebody tweeted and tagged Ebony in the tweet, and they responded, but nobody can find an actual boycott threat and the guy who started it is just saying "Sources" and trying to lay low.

Aww, too bad it's not true.  It would have been too funny.  It was actually sent from one of my political sites but I don't do politics here.  Anyway, sorry about that.  I don't mind if it's zapped.

I have my doubt about the veracity of that list. You can't just take an iconic animal and claim it's a country national animal. I am pretty sure Austria doesn't have an official animal, despite that page claiming it's the black eagle.

But if it IS a Black Eagle, what an awesome animal to have!  Italy has a certain kind of wolf and they're almost all gone.  I have to wonder how many countries have extinct or endangered animals as mascots.  Norway has a really big Elk which makes more sense than a tiny lion, I guess.  And more edible.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

Why would anyone buy a half of keyboard for almost $600 when you can buy a whole one for like $50?  And I guess the free hand is for eating cheesy poofs and drinking beer?  I'm sure no one could have possibly fallen for this!

Some people can only type with one hand. I looked at one-handed keyboards for a bit after breaking my wrist. In the end I just "typed" with one hand on a full keyboard for a couple of weeks (no I didn't do much typing during that period).

Do any of you use an ergonomic keyboard? I find using those pretty damn weird.

If you switch over you adapt damn fast.  Started using them as much as I could in high school since I knew I'd probably be in front of a PC almost every day for the rest of my life, and should try hedging my bets against carpel tunnel.  Was slightly weird at first, but I adjusted quick.  Normal keyboards have felt cramped and a bit painful every since.

It's also fun watching people who don't use an egronomic keyboard try to type if they need to use your computer.

I started using really good gaming keyboards once I stopped using my computer for much of anything other than gaming.  I also like a colourful keyboard and mouse.  It's all about the lights!  But I've never spent anywhere near $500 on one.  When I broke my arm and shoulder a couple years ago, I just stopped using the computer at all mostly.  Even typing with my left hand hurt my right arm and I could never find the right height or position to make it not hurt.  This is like the skimpier women's clothing is, the more it costs!  Although I can see it for people who only have one hand.  Someone here should make a cheap version of one so people who have one hand can actually afford it.  Just don't sell to pervy people!

A friend of mine had a trackball mouse, the kind that you operate with your thumb. I could not use at all. Like, I couldn't even click on a link on a webpage with it.

Once I was at his place and needed to check my email, I struggled for about two minutes then had to ask him to do it for me.

Trackballs are the worst, if I see one in someone's office on one of the rare occasions I have to do an actual desktop support visit I send our young guy to go work on those machines.

I always used to use a Microsoft Optical Explorer Trackball. Finest pointing device ever made. It died last year after around nine years of use. I looked on Ebay to find a new one and they were all $400+.

Heathen.

I loved my trackball, even when using Photoshop.  I felt it gave me far more control than a regular mouse if I wasn't using my tablet.  I had the Microsoft Intellipoint and they stopped making them.  Cry
