Is there a record for how many times in a row a person watches the same gif?

Don't know, let you know when I stop.

I'm not sure which I find more amusing. Captain Peppy in front or the Sourpatch Twins stabbing her in the back with their eyes.

Its funny if you've ever worked at a software company (also a bloodworth, but it always makes me chuckle).

I find the text amusing but is there a particular contextual aspect that's eluding me? I.e. who the fuck's that dude?

Guy from a beer comcercial...the line goes "I dont always drink beer, but when I do I drink Dos Equis" (something close, quoting from memory). If you want to know more, google "Most interesting man in the world"

Why do I know this? Commerical used to run before Daily Show webepiodes.

Here. Someone cobbled together the TV spots.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxgiTeXKOOc

There's a corresponding AM radio campaign as well. If you don't know this meme already, I'm guessing you don't listen to your local sports radio either ;)

It's ironic that a shit beer like Dos Equis has this great ad campaign.

One of my co-workers has that picture printed out and hung on his wall. It makes me think of our boss.

Regional thing - don't think it's hit the UK but I might have missed it. Thanks for the explanation though, those adverts are great.

Very timely as one of my colleagues fucked up a production system yesterday by doing exactly this. The picture is now on our development wall.

Ironic? It's the norm. See all advertisements for shitty products like Lynx/Axe, Old Spce, Stella Artois, Cadbury's. These companies spend millions on making their lowest common denominator shite appeal.

Dos Equis may be mildly bad, but it is about a hundred times more drinkable than Miller Lite.

My favorite Miller Lite campaign was when they lost a huge taste test, and they spun it as "Miller Lite has more TASTE than other beers."

Nevermind that the study said it tasted like moldy ass, there was MORE!

Let's be fair to Old Spice for a second.  They're not LCD, their problem was that GenX & Boomers thought it smelled like their grandparents & parents and didn't buy it because "I don't want to smell like an old man."

They created the OSG & Bruce Campbell campaigns to try and recapture market segment because their buyers were all dying off - not to attempt to sell a shitty or inferior product like Stella & Axe.

It smells a hell of a lot better than Axe and the deodorants actually work - also unlike Axe.

Lastly - if you don't like Cadbury Creme eggs you're a godless heathen.

What Merusk said. Especially the cadbury part.

Also, shitty products or not good advertising is good advertising. People are always going to buy over-advertised crap, but at least with Dos Equios we can get fun quotes
