i dont see the funny?

Because you can't have Satan without a god?

I sort of think the wearer was aware of that and more like saying "I am on Team Satan"

I mean, I am  pro open-source, but that doesn't mean I deny the existence of Apple  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly? #Shittycomperisons

The problem comes with the "A God" bit.  Cause as far as most people who don't feel like splitting philosophical hairs are concerned, Satan IS a god, so the shirt sort of contradicts itself.  It's basically saying "who needs a god (that one) when you have a god (this one)"  If it had said "who needs God", it would be less self defeating.

I am sure some appropriately evil deity will damn them to the fiery pits of hell for their effrontery.....oh, wait..... (also, grammar!)

Sorry, when did Satan become a god?  According to the lore, isn't he a powerful fallen angel?  If he is a god, then Christianity becomes a massive pantheon.

I think the point is that mr wonderful was worshiping satan therefore he is complaining that he does not need to worship a god because he is worshiping a god

Which is better dicourse that is on the internet, really.

Edgelords got to edge. Don't make no difference if they edge to Satan, FSM, or Ronnie James Dio.

Y'all are giving that guy and his motives more attention than they deserve. It's the attention he seeks, not the message.

Satan would definitely be into edging.  So would Dio.

This. While Satan may be opposed to God in the Christian mythology, neither Jahweh nor his son consider Satan/Lucifer an equal.

Which always bugged me. But that just raises the Dawkins voice in my head.

I suppose the theory is that Satan is and has always been a part of God's ineffable plan, a phrase I stole from Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

Satan's position is quite variable depending on what you consider canon. The concept of Satan as the embodiment of evil and hell as a place of suffering and torment is pretty much a mediaeval construct, effectively it's fanfic. Some Old Testament texts imply that Satan held an office similar to the later concept of the Fool - the one who was allowed to tell his king the truth no matter how impolitic. Several books portray him as an angel fully in God's favour (he is listed as the angel who carried the body of Moses to heaven for example). St Jerome, who compiled the canonical version of the Bible for the Church of Rome misread his copy of Isiah (v12-14) and that's pretty much where the modern concept of Satan comes from

Quote
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

That passage however is referring to king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who has been getting ideas above his station and who is about to be smacked down by God for them. There are no canonical references to Satan as an enemy of God.

He didn't but its a distinction without a difference unless you're accepting the Christian god. Plenty of Pantheons have gods at the top and other weaker gods at the bottom as an example.

Because the shirt denies the existence of a god at all, this would not accept the Christian god and that would very much make Satan a "god"

"Who needs supernatural beings with undefined infinite power when you have supernatural beings with similarly undefined slightly less than infinite power!" is essentially what the shirt is saying.
