Desktops, folks. It's that time again where Halloween, Christmas, Hannukah, Charlie Brown, New Years, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Boxing Day blur together to create the most depressing shopping season of the year. Right Click, View Image. I absolutely promise I did not obtain the Disgaea 3 US logo before release was even announced. ... |

My desktop has 160 icons on it, and that's after I just cleaned it because there was literally no room left onscreen for another icon. |

I rather like Vista's Aero theme. It's a great step up from that hideous Luna scheme for sure. |

Laptop Screen: I have the joy of sitting with Eclipse or Protége running all the time so I only see my desktop at startup or shutdown, always amusing    |

Once you actually know what you are doing does Eclipse feel any less retarded?  Because damn, it really is a pain in the ass sometimes. |

I think it does grow on you, I never liked eclipse and to start with and initally I used Netbeans which I think is an easier IDE to get to grips with if your working with Java (netbeans 6 also has some really nice Ruby on Rails stuff integrated). However, I think once you get over the non-native tabs and other niggly things about eclipse, you appreciate just how powerful it really is (refactoring ftw). I don't have any experience using commerical IDE's so I can't really compare it to them, but perhaps that could be discussed in another thread.. A quick Google proves that I know nothing of this woman, nor of any of the drivel she's starred in.
Fair enough.  I'll just leave it at 'A Pretty Face' then.

Same shit as before. Maybe another hundred pics from interfacelift in rotation (osx desktop can be set to rotate through images in a folder).
Stray, you seem to keep a lot of default icons on the dock. I usually ditch those, since you can get their through the apple menu or make an Applications Folder shortcut and rt-click it in the dock to have a nice applications menu (actually I have three applications menus set up). You do get extra points for the system font, black bkground and green text of the terminal window, though :)

I don't use much BUT the default apps actually. If not that, I just launch through a terminal. I used to do the Apple menu thing on older macs though. |

Eclipse does take some time to get used to, but once you do it is pretty nice. It does feel pretty foreign at first though, no matter what you are used to. |

If that's your car, I'm impressed.  If it's not, you could have done better.     |

Everyone knows, the more icons on your work desktop, the more productive you are. Duh. This is in celebration of me becoming an Uncle and a Godfather: |

To be fair, the main reason for it being that he was born in September, and my sister lives 5 hours away and I haven't been able to get time off work yet to go see the rugrat. So this is my "I feel Guilty" desktop. |
