Well, he's a star WR -- it's only natural for him to want the ball. They all do.

As for dropping it, that's another story.

Personally, I'm glad the Cowboys lost. It's the kind of kick in the ass you need so you don't just go coasting into the playoffs. We win the next two games and nothing changes. I think we will too, and get full home field advantage.

Steelers got pounded by Jacksonville.

Were it not for a couple of missed extra points, game would not have been as close.

Steelers made some big plays but they got beat at the line of scrimmage, as they have been getting beat there consistently since mid-season. First home loss of the season, giving them 7-1 mark at home. 2-4 on the road and headed to St. Louis for Thursday night contest. Wouldn't be surprised if they dropped to 9-6 and then it's off to Baltimore for the final week, where only a melting Raven squad gives them the playoffs.

Vikings are looking shitty against a Bears team that's just CREAMING them on defense. My lord if the Bears offense was worth a damn, this game should be 21-0 and over before the half.

Looking at Kyle Orton, I'm reminded how many NFL quarterbacks have that awful, awful pornstar mustache.  Why?

My guess is if you're an NFL QB you don't have problems meeting women. So, you can do whatever the hell you like. If I could pull off the John Holmes porn stache on a regular basis, I'd give it a whirl.

Also, it's Chicago. If there was an American Mecca for Mustaches, it would be there.

It's to distract you from his HORRIFYING NECKBEARD.

Glad the Orton Era got another shot, and so so glad it's almost over.  Fuck them for making me think they might win for 3 quarters, and even worse, making me think that if Rex was in there the Bears would have blown them out.

Emmet said some very nice things to Peterson after the game. After the hostbot FORGOT Peterson's name and Young said, "Hey, you don't even need to introduce him, everyone knows it's A.D.!"  swamp poop Good question by Peterson, great answers by Smith.

Funny commentary by Young busting Orton's balls about the qb's wet dream defensive setup.

Ah, a fellow Deadspin aficionado.

While it's true that I do visit there on occasion, I didn't in 2005 when the Neckbeard first made an appearance and was obvious to anyone forced to watch it.  Fun seeing pictures of a NFL frat boy QB still living the life with a bottle of Jack, though.

Most likely true, but it has become a touchstone in those parts, so that was my first thought. It is not like it takes a comic mastermind to find something about Kyle Orton to mock  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Terrell Owens has a message for Jessica Simpson: Stay away.

The 27-year-old singer-actress has become Public Enemy No. 1 among Dallas Cowboys fans because of a link being made between her appearance at Sunday's game and the poor performance of her new boyfriend, quarterback Tony Romo.

"Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favourite - in this locker-room or in Texas Stadium," Owens said Wednesday.

Too funny.

I will admit it's annoying when they show people who have NOTHING to do with the game on TV. Unless it's the President of a Country or the Pope, I couldn't give a shit who is attending the game.

I don't mind looking at her. I think it's sad that Owens would stoop to finger pointing like that though. Lately he's been pretty good at keeping criticism to himself. But now he's blaming some dude's girlfriend? I'd kick his ass if I was Romo.

I think the point was more, let's focus on the field. I think he did it publically because he's sick of Romo's lifestyle being played out in the media as a big deal. Hell, tell me Romo didn't look totally different and distracted in that game against Philly?

Jaws or someone was saying the last time he was playing that badly he had his tart du jour in the stands, too. If they haven't been present at any other games, they might be onto something.

I want to say that it was just the Eagles Defensive Coach who schooled them...

But then, both teams played like shit for the most part. Philly happened to get the early edge, and Dallas' rep for 2nd half recovery didn't come into play.

It isn't the women though. That's a terrible fucking copout.

But TO dogging on a man's woman in public? That's classless and Romo ought to tell him to shut the fuck up. It's like I've always said about TO and Randy Moss. They are great teammates when you win, but when you lose, locker chemistry goes to shit.

TO is just jealous. He is probably secretly in love with Romo, just as he was with Garcia when he called him a fag or whatever. Serious closet case.

I'm pretty sure I've said that on pg2 or somewhere way back.  Everyone who knows anything about football in SF knows that TO is gay.  Which is why I've got nothing against him, I'm sure that is a really hard thing to deal with.  He's nothing like Randy Moss, he's just a dumb queer in a sport that can not tolerate homosexuals.

Randy Moss is on another level. Fuck I hate that guy.  I wish death on him every night before I go to sleep.  Him getting a ring would be a miscarriage of sports justice.  Nobody deserves one less then him.

Queer issue aside (which could be true), he's just a different player than Moss. Both physically and strategically. Better off just making comparisons to Harrison or Johnson.

Best thing that could have happened to my fantasy team. Now that Cleveland needs to win, Derek Anderson won't be benched. Now I have to find a replacement for Willie Parker because thanks to my opponent losing 4 of his guys to injuries I may make the championship game.  awesome, for real

Cowboys secure homefield with the Bears eating the Packers for breakfast. Washington is still alive and will probably make it in since Dallas starters, I'm guessing, won't be playing more than a half.

Looks like 3 teams from the NFC East are going to be in the playoffs. Good times.  Ohhhhh, I see.

The NFC East is the strongest division in the NFC. Only the AFC South can boast more top to bottom total wins. It wouldn't shock me if we saw three teams from it the NFC East in the playoffs this year. It's all the more reason I'm impressed that the Cowboys have done what they did by going 13-2 to this point.

So for all you who were worried about the Cowboys having to eat snow, you best be worrying about whether Green Bay can make it past their first game, like I said in an earlier thread.

I'd love to see GB/DAL/NE/IND as the final standouts, but I can't be bothered to calculate if it can even work out like that.

Brett Favre doesn't play well in the snow/cold weather anymore. You should've been hoping for GB to win so they could secure home field advantage.
