Are all of those going to be original tracks? I can't remember. There are a couple of songs on there that will make me piss blood if I have to play a cover.
Also- Poison's inclusion will keep a long standing tradition of GH games making me hum shitty songs in my head for weeks on end alive.

I'm pretty sure that I remember that GHIII and Rock Band will use the original masters, or remasters, if available. After the success of GHII, I believe the labels realized that they could actually make money by allowing them to be used.
Note the glaring absence of any Rush tune. That's criminal.
But I guess my dream of duoing Bytor & The Snow Dog was always, well, a dream. Tiny tears. Tiny Tears.

I just can't get excited about GH3 when Rock Band is coming out so soon. I especially don't like how they're adding asinine shit like "boss battles". I don't want gimmicky power ups in my Guitar Hero game, thankyouverymuch, keep your Street Fighter shit out of my music games.

Oh, I didn't see the bonus list.
Having Bloc Party on the main list is cool enough, but I'm really impressed that they have Superbus on the bonus list (I doubt most of you would like it, it's french pop......it's just that these GH guys seem to be pretty well rounded).

I've been kind of in GH void, since I don't really console game very much. However my friends had a GH party, I know geekfest, and I finally got a chance to play it. I was hooked, the game is just too fun. At least it's coming out on PC though, thats just great for me.
That track list is really awesome too, alot of songs on there I like. Although no Rush, but at least they have a Blue Oyster Cult song on there. :-D

I actually remember where I was when I heard that song for the first time. It was right when it was released and they played it on the radio. I was walking down 37th from my house to the Georgetown campus. I immediately went and found my friend and bandmate and babbled about how awesome it was. |

the battle stuff in this game is so far from having anything in common with SF that it is silly. But I agree, the new battle stuff is just as lame as the old stuff was. |

I'd love to play a tough death metal track on guitar hero. Maybe some early deicide, suffocation, or morbid angel. Although trying to interpret a morbid angel solo into GH notes could be pretty difficult. Still though, it would be alot of fun. Alas, not even a bonus track set aside for the ultimate extreme guitar-riffing genre.

It's not as gay as the resurrection stuff in Rock Band. ?? I believe he's talking about the mechanic where if you are playing coop multiplayer, in RB you can bring back a player that has failed their part using star power (now called "Overdrive") to do so. It means you have to choose to save it to bail out a friend, or use it for the points multiplier. What can I say about F13? It's really my favorite website in the entire universe! I love the irreverent banter and sly wit these keyboard jockeys produce. And I especially love the staff, they're AWESOME. |
