Why is Oblivion listed as number 8 on the 'played over Xbox Live' list? You can't play Oblivion over Xbox Live, unless they count downloadable content as 'playing' over XBL.

Yeah, I almost feel like MS should just give up on Japan. If anything, turn your focus more towards Europe and lock up those westerners who still trend towards Sony. From what I gather it's done best in the UK, but could stand to do better in continental Europe. 360's doing fine in America; shit, the thing is practically Fortress America.

Japan is irrelevant until they manage to get some better taste in games.

I hate bullshit statistics. As Morfiend mentioned, this is just a big "DUH."

It's true. Japan has gone off the deep end. They really don't matter anymore. The only reason Sony or Microsoft are EVEN fucking with japan is to keep japanese companeis on board so they can localize their games. Shirokishi is going to do 10x better here than in Japan. It's pretty much guaranteed. They just have to get Level 5 to finish it - which requires they be in Japan.

I think they need to reword the entry to "Games played the most while connected to Xbox Live".

Japan has never really mattered as much as early 90s EGM and Gamefan used to claim they did. (Hell, even in the Genesis days the big titles weren't Japanese besides Sonic. Everything else was EA created/published just about. And even less now. Its all European and North American developed games that make the big bank. Hell, just look at those 30 listed games and demos. Only 7 of them are Japanese created. And are mostly old arcade games. Maybe if they stop making weeaboo loli infested titles the rest of the world might give a shit.

The 360 is leading the pack and will pull even further ahead. The PS3 and Wii have no answer to the gaming onslaught that is now hitting.
Bioshock-Halo 3-Orange Box-Mass Effect-Call of Duty 4 just to name the biggies. This is all before 2008.
The 2nd generation of the Console Wars have already been won, by the time the PS3 catches up, the 3rd gen will be almost ready for deployment.

Sony defense force. With the stupidity of many people who champion their console of choice as though Sony/Microsoft were major religions I really can't tell if that site is being sardonic because there actually are people who could think that way.

Of those 12 million Xbox 360's sold, I'd love to know how many were returned due to the red ring o'death.
If it's up to the 30% failure rate I've read about elsewhere, that's a lot of dead 360s.

Dunno what I was thinking about 2nd gen, my bad. I've only been on consoles since the first Xbox. And no, not born in the 90's, I played Pong and got to play Odyssey before it was released. Game nirvana lolz.
SDF is a satire site I thought.
I lean heavily towards the 360, but wouldn't mind buying the other two. Motorstorm is the first racing game since Carmageddon that I'm really into. But, like many, won't pony up the dough for the PS3.

My blood boils a little every time I see them brag about their wonderful on demand movie selection. Yea, check that out in Canada bitches - my XBox Live downloadable movie/tv section has 6 things in it - a UFC preview and 5 things from PBS. Thats all it has ever offered. Assholes.

I gots to disagree with that assumption. The Xbox and Wii are certainly doing well, but for varying reasons. The PS3, while lagging in sales, is designed to be a five-year (+?) machine. It's technically superior to the other two and thus may last into the next iteration of consoles - much as the PS2 has continued to endure into this iteration. Sony is not stupid, despite the internet nerd raging. The Wii is phun and cheap. Woohoo. The Xbox has the Microsoft juggernaut to force-feed it onto the industry. You can goose-step to that beat if you like it.

A lot of people will buy a PS3 once Sony finally gives up and drops the price, especially Metal Gear and Final Fantasy fans.

Agreed. The price is the only thing stopping me, and once it goes down a notch I will gladly buy one.
I am overly confident that this is the case with most gamers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the PS3 except for the fact that Nintendo purposefully made a cheap PoS system with magic wiggle wands and Microsoft has the industry-dominating monetary power to sell poorly made products below cost in order to attempt to drive competitors out of business.
Not complaining, I'm just saying...

So MS=Nazis... I guess Sony and Nintendo aren't faceless megacorps that only want your money. No, they're shiny, happy businesses that only care about you, the gamer.

Out of curiosity, are you under the impression that Sony isn't selling the PS3 below cost?
