LOTRO boards seemed to have stalled to a stand still.  Anyone still playing?  I am still enjoying the game quite a bit, but not going hardcore.  I am frickin obsessed with deeds, completing them all as I get them...even if I will not be using the traits.  This has slowed my rate of progression to almost nil.

I know where you are coming from Bandit.  I've been playing since open beta w/ the same Drahcir character and his progress is only 31 so far.  My hold ups? -- Crafting on 2 characters, deeds, setting up and running guild events, and just enjoying the ride  :-D!

Oh and yes, my wife and I still play and immensely enjoy the game.  Kinship is doing great too.

I haven't had time to game more than once or twice a week and most of that goes to LoTRO. I'm only 27 and only have one character :) It's a great at-your-own-pace game particularly if you've got a weekly scheduled night with friend to get past the cockblocks.

In terms of these boards, it was the same with the beta boards. LoTRO is a competent game, but it's not groundbreaking in any way we hadn't discussed when WoW was in beta. We've been there before. There just isn't a lot to talk about with the game.

You are right Darniaq.  There is nothing groundbreaking.  I've given up looking for the next "ground-breaking" game.  Vanguard, WoW, and others were supposed to be it.  They aren't.  I'm just looking for the fun factor now.  In my opinion - ground-breaking isn't going to mean "fun".  It maybe "oooo ahhhh" for a little while due to whatever new concept they come up with, but after that "ooo ahhh"... then you see what the game is really about.

Vanguard's diplomacy system (was that what it was call?  I forgot) was supposed to be all sooo awesome.  It was cool at first, but now its boring same old shit.

Fun now is the best outcome for any game. It's also fun to by eager for the next title (myself it's AoC). But that should never replace fun you could be having right now. More often than not the next game was not well worth the wait :)

Hey ya bro!  I'll PM you.  I rarely log on and post because my work PC doesn't have internet and my home time is usually for RL or gaming ;-).

No more refreshing UO houses because they decided to close down Metropolis and transfer the characters naked with donation items ONLY to a new server with basically new owners.  Lotsa of the old admins and such are there, but the owners/responsible for doing stuff is someone different. 

I won't say the name here because honestly... I don't feel like advertising for them.  I think that decision was stupid to say the least.

I most certainly am.  Even though they have horses on this other server and other old pre-ren stuff, I don't care.  I'm not working my crap back up.  PLUS I'm not manually mining fucking ore and such (they don't like EasyUO).  My time is now with LOTRO, our kinship, and how the kinship house :).  WOOT!
