This is the DVD release I'm excited about in the next few months. |

I have found memories of that movie and the music.
The problem?  I also have found memories of Flesh Gordon that came out shortly after.  For a puberty ridden young man, those memories seem to take precedence for some reason.

 Sad.  But true.

My brother's name is Ming. He would add the "Merciless" part when we used to have mock wrestling matches when we were kids. Good times.

As for the DVD, I thought there were already like two reissues of that damn thing.

What they should do is include a soundtrack CD. WTF would I want "behind the scenes documentaries" about Flash Gordon for anyways?

I have the soundtrack on CD. It's just lifted off the film itself though, and is terrible quality. |

This is one of those soundtracks that I can literally be watching TV or reading a book or typing on a messageboard and suddenly it just pops into my head..those drumbeats followed by "Flash! Ah Ah!" |

I have the original soundtrack (its a Queen CD after all) and the movie on DVD. If this is a guilty pleasure, let me be guilty. Yeah yeah, bad costume designs, but if you stick Ornela Muti in them all is well!

I prefer my Queen Highlander-Flavored. "It's a Kind of Magic" > Nearly Every other Movie Soundtrack. Ever. |

Hot Space.  Sure, it had Under Pressure on it, but that song alone wasn't enough to save it from the rest of the uninspired songs on the album.  The last few albums they did when Freddie was dying were good, but man are they depressing.  I can't exactly listen to them over and over again as they are just plain sad. |

Under Pressure is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. The fact the album exists to carry that song is enough for me. Just the idea of David Bowie and Queen ever being in a room together, let alone laying down a track or 3, is enough. It's some of the greatest musical genius ever known to man. Hell, that man will ever know. |
