Seriously play the same crappy game for free, play Rappelz or one of the other f2p clones.
With L2 you're really paying for the community. ... People want those items so bad, and want those castles with such intensity... it just makes the whole game better when everyone is taking it way too seriously. Those statements do not jibe with reality. Either that, or you are batshit insane and thus, Korean. |

I cancelled my account. It was close to being a fun game, but missed. I kept feeling like the fun was juuuust around the corner. It was not.

i'm not even sure what kind of 'fun' you're looking for in that game. PVP isn't gonna come easy with the pure-grind obstacle, add to the fact lots of people get power leveled, or bought gold etc...the starting curve isn't exactly encouraging for first time starters. |

When me and my friends applied to it for a couple of months it was for the PvP. We grinded and grinded and grinded and reached lev 40 or something... and still we couldn't ind any kind of PvP. That's what wore them off.. "they said this game is PvP.. but where the heck is it?", and we got told to grow more, and more... and sieges are fun (yeah, 2 hours once a week. Miss that window and you missed the fun).
Main problem is, apparently, that PvP games really need some sort of PvP tiers and targets so you can actually PvP, with a goal, early on. Looks like Warhammer is aiming for that, although I am afraid there's not enough (if any) focus on structures owning and conquest, which is something that is noteworthy (in theory) in Lineage 2.
