Anyone catch this commercial on TV? I saw it last night during TBS airing of "Return of the King." Obviously, they knew their audience.
I kept thinking, during the Officespace bit, that this wasn't really for WoW is it? It is. Pretty funny even though they tainted a classic comedy.

Yeah i saw it, it got a laugh. Other than the SWG campaign around the time of episode 3 i don't remember any other post launch mmorpg commercials on TV, odd.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I might have seen an EQ ad, but I can't remember exactly and it sure wasn't as good as this one.

Blizzard did this with Diablo 2 also. They started airing commercials very heavily around the 1 year mark. I think its to try and catch those last few people who might have heard people talk about it, and they see the commercial and go "Oh thats that game that Tom accross the street is always raving about, maybe ill try that". |
