*It turns out the whole game was a hallucination of some sort. All the other kids were killed by an insane man in his underwear who thought he was a dog.

*Shion Uzuki summoned the gnosis on Militia when she was eight, wiping out half the population on the planet. Her dead boyfriend, Kevin, indirectly killed Shion's parents by ordering the release of the 27-series Realians (thus wiping most of the military forces that weren't killed off by the URTVs). Thus, between the two of them, it's all their fault Xenosaga happened.

*You know her? The cute one? She's been betraying your party all along, and she's going to stab you in the back.
You know him? The big one who's undoubtedly smarter than everyone else? Well, he's that other girl's father.
Oh, and the princess is an imposter.

*It turns out that Fettel is your brother and that Alma is your mom. You and Fettel were prototype super soldiers. You were a success, he was not. Fettel is used by Alma to get revenge on her tormentors, you put a bullet in his head for his trouble and make him MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU CAN POSSIBLY IMAGINE. Your helicopter crashes. Holiday and Kwan die. Jankowski died way back at the start of the game. You put Alma to rest and then Fettel makes your helicopter crash. You die or get rescued???

*It turns out Heather is Alessa.

*You end up killing the well-respected lady detective with a disabled son because she was fucking your backstabbing former friend and framing you for murder AND because she tried to kill your love interest.
You destroy your former friend's mansion and kill him. You get over the death of your wife and child, and if you beat the game on the highest difficulty level your love interest lives.

*The Allies win WWII.

*Balthier was a judge.

*Zero dies. Again. Permanently.

*Ganon was controlling Zant all along. Midna breaks the mirror before going back to the twilight realm.

*The man who set up your mercenary band was funding the bad guys all along just so he could play hero.

*It turns out you're Revan.

*It turns out you're Revan's buddy.

*The world you've been living in is actually an MMORPG for people in a different dimension.

*Max Enguard hired a hitman to kill Juan Corrida. The hitman was the bellboy at the hotel with stitches in his face.

*Laguna is Squall's father.

*The Princess is in another castle.

*It turns out YOU are the evil twin and you were doing exactly what Dark Gaia wanted by reviving the world and humanity. You do however make it right in the end by destroying Dark Gaia and breaking the cycle of destruction. Your reward for this is not existing anymore...or is it? Your love interest is reincarnated and you presumably get revived to go live with her but they end at you presumably knocking on her door to keep it depressing. Fucking Enix.

*You kill nearly the entire population of hell, defeat all 3 of the prime evils, and still fail to save the worldstone.

*You're the son of a dead, evil god, and you have many many MANY siblings. You kill one of them and find out that THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.

*Your client in the 4th case is actually guilty.

*You murder the entire population of your home town, kill some of your best friends and allies, and find an uberpowerful weapon to save your people and country only to find out that you were being manipulated all along. Good thing you don't care anymore because that weapon you took was cursed.

Thank you. This thread saves me a ton of time.

I especially like the Xenosaga stuff. Talk about endings I'm glad I never saw.

I might have to reinstall Max Payne 2.

Also, I wish you had put the game these spoilers come from in Black, because some of them I don't know the origin.

He did.

You're not realy a super-soldier, you're just a grunt who was experimented on and rescued by the real super-soldier (who gets shot and dies before the game starts). You've just got amnesia & delusions of grandieur. Also, you don't actually meet the real villain until the end of the game - all of his other 'appearances' were either just puppets who'd been experimented on (like yourself), or the villain's nonhuman 'mother'/cell donor.

Oh, and the super-soldier's girlfriend dies too.

I think the answer to this particular question is extremely obvious if you've read the book, and has been confirmed by the author in interviews.

The world you've been sucked into is all in the imagination of the kid at school who gets picked on and has no mommy. To go home, everyone else has to want to go home as well. Also, your girly-friend's hair is actually white.

Deciding that not being able to die, and waking up with amnesia every time isn't fun, you finally confront the big bad...Turns out you did some bad stuff and seperating your soul from your body wasn't the best idea. Accepting the fact and dying/merging back together, you pick up a club and prepare to fight in hell.

I was actually going to do That one, but I couldn't quite remember the ending twist. It's been a few years.

* Tassodar dies

* Arthas kills his father & destroys the kingdom of Azeroth

* None of the heroes of the Dark Portal really died.

* The Emperor is betrayed by the Grand Admiral you just helped, and it's up to you to free him.

* To get all one-million studs, use the Force on building's windows BEFORE you blow them up.

The man who practically raised you, is actually just using you as a pawn in his far-sighted plan to gain real ultimate power. Also, he's built a critical flaw into your fighting style...

* It turns out, their home planet is Earth!

* They all lived happily ever after.

* Schild changes his mind.

* It turns out that jamming a large soulstone containing a massively powerful demon into your forehead is a bad idea.
