A commercial Entity named ClientLogic copporation is desperately seeking gamemasters for a nondisclosed MMO. They have contacted nearly every european MMO fansite to advertise open positions as gamemasters. From their web page I can gather that they offer customer service and other services to corporations that do not want to do that themself. Prospective employees would have to relocate to dublin, ireland and the salary would be in the range of 20,000 to 27,000 Euro ($25,000 to $34,000) gross pay. I am curious which MMO they have in mind because they won't tell in their job ad http://wow.gamona.de/images/upload/screenshots/2569_fullsize.jpg

To say that the salary is sub par would be an euphemism. You can survive on 20,000 Euro in dublin, but barely so.
They keep selling it as an opportunity to "start a career in the games industry" so they hope to get enough of the fanboys.

Ignoring the low salary, I'd stay well clear anyway. Linky 1The Website - ClientLogicSucks.com - The only difference between this place and the Titanic is that they had a band.
I used to work for that worthless pile of shite of a company. The biggest mystery to me is how they continue in business. I worked in Dublin for about 9 months and then quit. What a bunch of fucktards, glad to be gone.
......
Yeah well whatever they get up to in the states, they love to mess people around in the forin parts (here). The whole place was based in a place called Sandyford industrial estate, approx 10 miles south-east of the city centre. The airport is located about 4 miles to the north-west of the city centre. They moved the entire site (several hundred people) to a place in the middle of nowhere 10 miles north of the city centre. This reduced travel time to and from the airport by an hour or so and screwed up everyone who worked in the place.
The whole way it was handled sucked though. They had a pretend vote on three options. A quick straw poll indicated the votes were clearly in favour of a city centre location. Amazingly enough the results were Bushtastic. Linky 2Did anyone else who works or used to work at Client logic / Search feel they were: - discriminated against - Abused - Mistreated - Entraped or set up be management/PS'?
If so, let me know about it and how you got through it. Iv only been there a few months and feel really mistreated im now going to get the union involved.
................
I used to work in co. swords in dublin and i found the supervisors petty, unknowledgeable and a good quater of the staff racist and scared of people who had done it support before.

Yeah, I was gonna say for an entry level Customer Service position that's good money ($12 - 16.34 an hour if you work a 40 hour week). Hell, the low end is what my wife makes w/ 7 years experience. I don't know about cost of living differences between the Midwest US and Ireland, however. Also, those complaints at clientlogicsucks.com.. you'd see similar ones from ANYONE who works at any call center. It's a fucking awful job choice in general. Given the low skills requirement the upper management will always treat you like you're replacable on a whim; because you are.
