I sell pewter cups and goblets and such. It's a fairly small business run by a guy and his family, I've been with them for about 20 years now. It's a living. Well, it's a living when the economy isn't in the shitter, it's a 'get by' right now.
Are you at the Texas Ren Fest, perchance?  If so which booth?  I'll drop by when we go. Always with her mind in the gutter, this one!
I live vicarously through others' enjoyment of life's pleasant surprises. |

That, like the Twinkie itself, would be utterly revolting. Also, way to add even more calories to your Twinkie, fatass. |

Did someone shove a twinkie up your asshole when you were young or something? Show me on the doll where the cake hurt you.
I was curious. That doesn't make me a fatass (I'm not) or interested in having a twinkie (haven't for a decade). I didn't want to start a whole damn thread on it unless there's a spirits thread I missed somewhere. I like tapping this forum because there's a lot of intelligent people here and google-fu is failing.

Twinkies are alright. But when it comes to abominations in the culinary arts, I do avoid as best as I can.

http://www.last.fm/listen   Lorekeep. You have a thin skin and seem unable to recognise my sense of humour. My bad. I'll try and refrain from anything other than actual personal insults when addressing your posts in future so that you know what's what. In other words, that'll be the last time I bother responding to them. |

 In no particular order:
North Carolina is not Texas. I've done TRF, but not in years. Not a good show.
Sterling is a nice show, but has an odd admittance policy for crafters. If you do what you do for a living, they won't let you in. So if you don't lie on the application, you don't get in. Which kinda sucks, as it's a pretty show, and there's a nice clothing optional beach just down the road.
And I used to do the Georgia show. From 1991-2007, but fuck the insane owners of that show. A disbarred lawyer and his shrewish wife. Their constant whining and excessive fees, coupled with their shitty show made me give up there. The company still has a booth (for now) but whichever manager is being fired next gets sent there in an effort to get them to quit instead. It's a punishment assignment. Much like the Texas show.

Lantyssa: If you do make it to TRF, stop by the Sky Chairs booth and say hi to Bobby Knight the proprietor for me (ryan). If you like good coffee, he roasts his own and always has a pot on in the back.

When was the last time you applied there? They had a management change I think a year or two ago, the new management seems to be trying to be much more sensible. Check out Cantiga if you ever get the chance, they're an amazing act from Texas. Charry Garcia is a huge inspiration for me on guitar (he plays the charango). |

Like what?  Personally, I loved Georgia every time I've been there.  I even loved Atlanta.  On the other hand, I hated Alabama and New Jersey.  Arkansas sucked, too.  So did Crawley and Wolverhampton.  The best bit of Wandsworth is the prison.  God, there are so many places that suck worse than Georgia. |

Atlanta would be great if there was not so much traffic on the highways to and from the airport, if GPS nav systems were mandatory in all cars to help people find their way down the many "peach" streets/boulevards/roads/avenues/highways/lanes, if there were no speed traps on the toll road to Alpharetta and if tornadoes avoided the entire metropolitan area. |

I fail at reading comprehension.  I think I even knew you said North Carolina and it just went in one eye and out the other. I know the Sky Chair booth.  I've stopped in several times over the years.  Middle ailse, towards the jousting arena and one or two away from where the massage place used to be. Besides the heat, what's bad about the Texas show?  I'm always curious about the dealer's perspectives having worked anime conventions and with several friends still in that biz. |
