We went to the Tut exhibit in Philadelphia today.  It was incredible.  It'll be in London soon-ish.  I recommend it to everyone.  It's probably the last time for ages, maybe forever, these pieces will be together at the same time.

If your big problems in life are being a bit bored with life because even with success, none of it is surprising....or that you don't want to play games, and the girl you like doesn't want to play either (how exactly is that a problem?), and you get easily fed with with stupid people and their bullshit (join the club)?

From where I'm sitting, that sort of position looks quite enviable; you should be so lucky that those are your big problems.

I'm quoting Ironwood but addressing Straz.  This, plus quite a bit of the rest of Ironwood's post, is something that I understand very well and I submit that it is very real and quite probably needs nothing more than a sage nod from others who are in that position or were once there.  It's pretty easy to comment on something which you don't understand and which seems trite, but it's quite another to pass through such a "trite" situation and emerge from the other side about ten times wiser than you went in.

Fortunately Ironwood gets it, and I feel is better equipped to deal with his ennui than I was at the time, so comment all you want and know that you have yet to experience the thing you are talking about.

Nothing I have said will ring true to you until you are ten-to-fifteen years older.  I don't expect you to believe me.  I'm not the guy shaking his cane at the youth; this is a pointless activity.

Wow, seriously...wrong day for you to pull this shit. Are you venting? Because if I had a bit less self control, I would be right about now. Having my battery inexplicably die for no reason upon trying to leave work today, and having to leave the car in the lot overnight, just waiting to get ripped off or put on blocks or something....yeah.

Also, FFS I can do simple math, and it says it makes no sense to move out currently. Oh boy, VDL moved out when she was 12, and look at her, she turned out fine.
