She broke a nail and it needed prompt attention by a manicurist.

It's okay though.  I'm sure house arrest is so confining.

She requested to have her psychiatrist come in yesterday.  He came out and said she'd been crying for the entire 3 days and was having some sort of emotional distress.  I expect that's the "medical problem" that got her off.

I imagine having to buck-up and face the consequences of your actions after a lifetime of ignoring them WOULD cause some emotional distress.

It's jail.  It's supposed to be emotionally stressful.  That's the freaking point.

Jail is supposed to be emotional distress, it's all we've got to punish people with since we got rid of the corporal stuff like canings.  I just can't believe this, the only point of prison is to make someone feel bad buy isolating them and taking away most of their freedoms, if rich white girls can just cry their way out of it

I can't even figure out how to finish that sentence since I'm so incoherent with dissapointment right now.

But she has to wear a bracelet that like totally doesn't match anything she's got and like can't go out partying and has to get everyone to come over to her house and stuph. GAH.

I'd want to stab her eyes out with my cock, but I love my cock to subject it to that sort of disdainful cavity.

I remember hearing on one of the god damn reports you get on every damn news channel on monday that she "reportedly had not felt like eating" the first day.

My guess is she refused to eat for the whole 3 days she was in there and that was the "medical reason".

I happened to turn on the tv when the press conference was going on. Man the press were just brutal to the guy. I think the whole thing has made even the most retarded celebrity gossiparatzzi journalist realize that being rich and vapid makes you better than everyone else in the Justice system.

I am about to go sacrifice a goat on my homemade altar to the Norse gods and ask for her to get caught at some club drunk off her ass so she can get hauled in before the judge again. I guarantee he won't give her any nice treatment then, if she is going to act mentally distressed put the she-cur into a padded cell.

Speaking of useless....

The iPod shuffle feature is fucking worthless.  457 songs, and I'm guaranteed to get at least 25 of the same ones in the first 100 songs every fucking time. No matter how many times I skip over them, up they come again the next day when I reshuffle.

Yeah, the ipod "shuffle" has always been just skip 2-3 songs ahead. You know what else is irritating? When you use the amazing fature "search" and you find what you're looking for (like an album) the songs are all in the wrong order (just arranged alphabetically). You have to browse through Artist or Album for them to show up in the right order. It is EXTREMLY irritating, 'cause it pretty much renders the search useless :(

As a matter of fact I swallowed one of these about two hours ago and the explanation is that it is, in fact, my hand.

Whenever I use the shuffle feature, I never get more then 10 to 15 songs in before I hear a song and go 'Yeah, I want to listen to that full album!', and then switch to it.

I've never ran into that problem, heh.

I will find it can get somewhat streaky though. I hear one artist, then a few songs later and I'll hear it once or twice in a row.

So, my neighbour lady from two houses down that said that her husband left her, just walked by my office window with her arms around some other guy. I think I'm seeing why her husband left her.

I work for the local government here in the courthouse, and here she probably would've gotten an ignition interlock and been sent on her way. If she was shitty to the judge then maybe a little jail.

Yep.  I reading about that stuff and most people who get a 60 or 90 day sentence for this sort of thing, if they spend any time in jail at all, usually only spend a few days or so.  Of course, I'm very sympathetic.  I think the judge might have been a Paris Hilton hater along with what seems to be the majority of the world.  Some major news station (I forget which one, sorry) said they hadn't received ANY emails actually supporting her.

I have to say in her defense, however, if I owned a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren you probably couldn't keep me out of it, either.

Well the issue with her is that she was given a pass on a DUI by them making it reckless driving, then they gave her probation and suspended her license the second time, then she got caught driving on a suspended license again. Then when she was in court she tried to blame her publicist for telling her she could drive.

Most normal people who get suspended sentences show at least some modicum of taking responsibility, she showed none. I think that was more of the cause of her getting real jail time than any Paris hate the judge might have had.

Do they get that for a DUI or after they are found to be driving while on probation for DUI (twice)?

Ha!  I said exactly the same thing to Righ when it was on the news earlier.  Although that car is lovely, how much of a hardship can it be to have someone drive you wherever you need to go in a luxurious limo for a few months or however long her license was suspended?  I'm sure that the fact that she was hours late for her midday court session didn't endear her much to the judge, either.

My god, is there a single attorney on earth that is not calling this a "travesty of justice" and a "unusual punishment"?

They all seem to think that the previous infractions mean nothing, that her making a mockery of the judicial system is unimportant.

The law enforcement community should be APPLAUDING her going to jail as it shows all the morons that follow her like she is the next best thing to sliced bread that there are consequences for your actions.

How is this unusual?  My father got a DUI and was forced to do a month in jail.  His license was revoked for a year, which was waived for him to go to work as long as he spent 5k to alter his car to add one of those breathing thingies.  His jail times consisted of nothing; he would go on the weekend and they sat, staring at walls.  The smarts ones snuck sleeping meds in and slept the entire weekend.  No cards, no TV, nothing.  I bet this bitch gets books and stuff.  Whatever.

Supposedly in LA County, no women serve more than 10% of their sentence in jail because of overcrowding.
