We had a decent amount of menonites who lived in the rural parts of the county I grew up in. Most people generally liked them and they seemed friendly. But they are basically a religious sect that embraces technology and just dresses like the Amish.

Amish are horrible. Mostly the men. The Amish women I've met seem okay albeit a bit vapid. They believe all sorts of stupid things. In this area, they've been reported for animal abuse and their defense is that animals don't have souls so therefore they can't feel pain. I wonder why they scream then? People think that getting Amish produce is wonderful but they use all sorts of nasty pesticides and even their tobacco is GMO. I try not to eat anything grown by Amish. I'd rather eat cat food than their poison drenched GMO corn. (Well, maybe not wet cat food but certainly kibble!) And they lie. When you ask them if their corn is GMO or if they use pesticides, they lie about it.
There's other things I don't like about Amish men. Like their stupid faces.
Err... Sorry if anyone has Amish relatives. I'm sure they're nothing like other people's Amish relatives.
