Pricing in Atlanta has come down a lot lately with the opening of more venues.

Everyone I want to see is playing the Tabernacle and I HATE THE TABERNACLE.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

Well, I never had an issue with parking but I'm OLD and I PLAN ahead; what's cheap in Atlanta is parking and there's a deck just down the street.  I could have parked in the Coke lot and walked over or something but parking nearby was so much better.  My problem is with the building itself.  Last time I was there it was for Dimitri Martin and he led off with: "It's ninety degrees and it's MARCH.  Thanks Atlanta!"

This year he could lead with, "It's 85 degrees and my car just floated away in JULY. Thanks Atlanta!"

Nah, they can drink soda now as of last year (they did anyways but it became official that soda was okay).  So my consumption is now MORE restrictive than a mormon.  Ohhhhh, I see.

Live music has become more of a practical matter.
100% agree.  In San Diego it wasn't too bad, there were quite a few places with decent parking that weren't in utter shitholes to go see bands play at.  In the Bay Area, everyone either goes to San Francisco itself (shitty if you don't live there already), Mountain View's amphitheater (shitty due to parking and traffic being insane) or up to Concord on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night.  I get to work at 5:50AM so staying up until 11:45 and then driving an hour and a half home from the north bay is not my idea of fun.  Then there's dealing with all of the drunk and obnoxious assholes and general loudness for the sake of being loud of the venue (and $13 beers, don't get me started).  I swear I'm more of a recluse now than ever before.  I have a nice stereo at home I can control the volume on.

I'm old apparently.  Things I tolerated in my 20's just make me question what I was thinking now that I'm over 30.

It should run on almost any platform, right now concentrating on PC though. The big problem with tablet stuff is without any marketing you basically have a 0.01% chance of taking off and a 99.99% chance of selling like 30 copies lifetime. iOS and Android are terrible as far as visibility and discoverability. Although this is becoming a bigger problem everywhere as bigger teams split into a larger number of smaller teams.

I'm going to state right now that I really like the weather I have experienced this year.  Eighty-five degrees is like heaven.  Rain is great.  I didn't have anything flood, though, since I don't live vertically-near the water or in Atlanta, which apparently still doesn't have a real sewer system.

Since everyone is WAY too far to arm punch me, I have to say that it's been raining far too much here.  But I  Heart all the electrical storms especially now that Puppy Loki has her Thundershirt to keep her relatively calm.

I'm a horrid pet owner. I found a bat dead in my yard. I'm guessing my cat brought it down. It's been like 8 years since he went to the vet. Needless to say he went to the vet for shots today.

My parents' river house.  Mom was going to sell it otherwise.  It's too good to let go, and has a lot of sentimental value as it's where dad spent a good deal of his time after retirement.  I'm going to put him on the windowsill overlooking the river.

As long as the inspection comes back clean, I'm selling my place to a friend who has a sudden need for a large home.  Really it's all working out in a manner that feels like it's meant to be.

Asshole landlord reneged on our verbal lease extension.  Lease is up in October and she told us a few weeks ago she was going to extend it through March and then put it up for sale.  We got the 4:30pm email today that she's putting it on the market in a week, so we also have to deal with her trying to show the place while we live in it.  Now we're stuck trying to find a place in the same neighborhood so the kid can still attend the same school.

WTF is wrong with people?  If you say you're going to do something, fucking do it.  This shit wasn't a big deal before we had a kid.  Now it's a major pain in the ass.
