But hey, web, etc, whatever.
You can find 1000 sites that recommend drinking hydrogen peroxide too. Did I mention that I'm a French model? Just saying: It's important to think about the science behind the suggestion. While the web is full of helpful hints/tips, many of them can be downright dangerous.

I sent every bit of it to my sister. I hope she doesn't start lactating.

Beats me, all I know is I heard it on a show about mosquitoes about 10 years ago and there's items all over the place backing it up. But hey, web, etc, whatever.

Don't trust me either. As any human, I'm prone to being wrong on occasion. I encourage my students to question everything that leaves my mouth. I couldn't blame anyone here for doing the same.

That is true but you seem to read about toxicology and general biology more than I do, and so I give you a bit more weight in the subject.
Besides, I'm in here posting about things that are more ridiculous than what you might see on reality TV so I do like to give others some credit when I can. It's only fair.

We have at least one bat patrolling the area...whenever I go out to the driveway around dusk I see him doing laps over the street. I wish the little bastard paid more attention to our backyard though...was helping my wife clear some brush out from around our shed (our house painter has leftover paint and is going to paint it for us) around dusk the other night and got eaten alive. I think I have 5 or 6 bites on my legs alone.
tl,dr fuck mosquitoes.

Trust in the Nebu... There seems to be a misunderstanding that I was using "web, etc, whatever" as justification rather than, "Right, don't believe what you hear on the web."

Whenever some hippy cunt starts on about how we're killing the planet, ask them about fucking mosquitos. Because no. Also, I'm starting up a new green earth-friendly movement. To save the planet, just go ahead and kill yourself. Stop consuming and defecating and burning and breathing and in general being the thing you think is destroying the planet. Live in harmony as fertilizer. Been one of those days.

It made me sad when TOH got morphed into generic home decorating show 18,768. I've been lobbying to get the magazine dropped from the collection.
I like to fantasize about Norm Abrams' bloody rampage on the set some day, hammers swinging and slick with blood and matted hair.
My three heroes growing up were Norm, Willie Nelson and George Carlin.

Check it out for one of the last 3-4 seasons, Sky. Since they started doing "ask this old house" almost all the home deco tips have moved out and it's focusing on the building and the process again. The last season had a pretty interesting one, doing a "Swedish Modern" look inside of an old New England Queen Anne. http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/tv/house-project/overview/0,,20587086,00.html

As someone who loves Queen Annes....yikes.
I wish I could find one in a decent neighborhood, there was one that went up a block over from the library, but we're pretty much the demarcation of decent neighborhood/historic district and crack slums. And I don't dig living a block from crack slums. So many great victorians here, and almost none in a habitable community.

Be the start of the next gentrification wave! I had the same thought about the Cambridge project, but hey, it's not my house and I liked learning a bit about Swedish Modern.

Be the start of the next gentrification wave! I know a couple guys who want to do that. Problem is, you need a LOT of people and more importantly there has to be some new money in the area, which there isn't in the rust belt. Most professionals here have moved out to the next town, kind of a suburb. So they're not paying city taxes and live in 60s-70s built shitboxes while scumbags live in these beautiful victorians that have been carved into a dozen apartments. Hell, my best guess on my 1930s house is that it was a tractor repair garage originally. In 1930 it was just outside the city on a major farming road, upgraded to a house in the 50s when the city grew and 50s boxes sprouted up around it.

I too was going to suggest a Bathouse. I've read that bats are also much more likely to "patrol" an area if there's water for them -- they like to drink mid-flight by swooping over ponds.

Austin got the xgames Awesome, this is a multiyear contract isn't it? It is! And the fiancé has worked with one of their sponsors for years, so we'll have VIP to everything. I mean, we actually already have VIP to basically every major event in Austin, but X-Games is like, a special one to have VIP to imo. So stoked.

Austin got the xgames Somehow that just seems like an odd thing for someone here to be excited about. Not trying to sound dismissive, just can't really recall there ever being much mention of the xgames on f13. Just tried looking up some information on what its current popularity level is (which I couldn't get any solid info on), but I wasn't aware that ESPN actually runs the thing, which seems particularly odd when you go to ESPN.com and see it lumped in with women's sports kinda away from the other sports and between "Fantasy & Games" and "Radio & More". That could just be chalked up to ESPN just having a horrific website I guess. Even after getting to their actual xgames website, finding any sort of historical information or videos from past events seems almost impossible.

Counterpoint to password storage: I changed the password to my password DB yesterday, then the computer rebooted due to power outage and now I can't remember the master password.

That's not a counterpoint, that's you being a mong. (To seriously suggestions !! : Sit where you were with things open that you had when you changed it. Sit and think. Drift. The password ought to come back to you. Unless it's Titend39. I can never remember Titend39.)

Schild's excited. That's something I suppose.
I love sports, as you probably know, but the X-Games doesn't register on my radar. It's usually on during the beginning of baseball and the NBA/NHL playoffs.

That's the stuff what kills teenagers when mixed with alcohol, right? Last time I was in London there were neon green scratchy mark decals all over the glass doors and drink cabinets of the convenience shops. I thought it was adverts for video games until I asked the clerk who kindly told me what it was and not to mix it with alcohol. She was Irish so I believe her.

It's a shitload of free parties with great djs and bands and open bars. And every now and then, I'll see a skateboarder do something sweet or take a massive spill. Edit: The only spectator sports I like are e-sports.

I do this thing where I say to myself "Yeah, I'll remember that thing this time" but I never do. I'm not sure why I don't learn from this. Probably I'm just god-awful stubborn. I tried the sit-and-think bit. It didn't take long to remember that I can call up previous file versions in Dropbox, which solved the problem. I'm at least smart enough to have a recovery system in place... two, in fact.
