Wow those are some expensive instant noodles. I'm going to have to find some and try it.

Really? What prices are you looking up? They're only 96 cents here. Cents! Still in the realm of dirt cheap. edit - Top Ramen may be 50 cents, but it's also shite compared to this.

Shin Ramyun should be the only ramen on the market. The rest should be pho.

Trust me, though, when I say you can doctor 10c Nissin Oriental flavor with sesame oil and cayenne. Nigh indistinguishable from Shin (minus the chive thingies).

Top Ramen is $0.10 - $0.20 a pack. At $1 that stuff is an order of magnitude more expensive.

Edit: added quote since VL posted in between.

Korean noodles are thicker.

I'll say though that the spicy chicken ain't all that. I have the kimchi flavor as well, but haven't tried it yet.

Why would you buy the bowl stuff instead of a packet?

Okay I just got back from my local Japanese market and picked up a couple of the big 4 oz packages. I threw in the entire flavor packet to get the full experience and...it's not bad, though I haven't eaten this kind of instant noodles since college so I don't have anything recent to compare it to.

Why would you buy the bowl stuff instead of a packet?
For bringing into work. There are also more flavors in the bowl-style.

edit - :burp: on second thought, forget the tuna. get some beef instead.

Indo coffee is surprisingly delicious with this. I think I've found my after-party grub.

Strange.  I just found out Graham Chapman was gay and now I'm floundering about wondering how I did not know this fact.

Does it matter in any way? I'm sure there's plenty of people, celebrities or not that you don't know if they're gay or straight :)

For what it's worth, I just found out that Graham Chapman is a person, and I, too, am struggling to come to terms with it.  I may have to google him.

Yeah, what with the coming-out-on-telly back in the 70s when that wasn't in any way unremarkable, the adopting people with his gay partner and all that stuff he didn't exactly hide his light under a bushel...  I suppose, however, that he died right before British television stopped edging nervously around the question of peoples' sexuality.  Larry Grayson, after all, maintained that he was a stout-hearted, woman-rogering, terror-of-the-ladies back in the 80s.

For what it's worth, I just found out that Graham Chapman is a person, and I, too, am struggling to come to terms with it.  I may have to google him.

You do know him.  Maybe just not his real name.

The eulogies that the Python crew did for Graham Chapman's funeral are true art.  It's on youtube, I recommend that you watch it (I'd link but work blocks youtube).  I would like to have a remembrance like that when I die but I am distinctly short on comedic genius friends.

I'm amazed none of you knew.  He was quite open about it and the Pythons have made several references about it.  Most that I remember were about the hotel stay for Holy Grail where he'd wake up on set come down to the hotel lobby in his robe, hung-over and talking about the young man he'd been with the night before.

Um.  No.  It doesn't matter a fuck.

However, Endie hit the nail on the head.  I'm more astounded by the fact I didn't know, rather than the fact itself.

Ironically, this was because he always thought Chapman wouldn't be interested vOv

I was gonna make a comment about how you're just using the event as an excuse to sell schild some modafinil, but that joke's getting a bit stale.
