I swear I have downloaded my purchases over again in the past. Maybe it was when they charged me $.10 per track or whatever to upgrade to the DRM free versions though...I don't remember. My past few purchases have been made at Amazon, and will continue that way.

Amazon allows redownloads? Might be time to switch to that.  I'm pretty awful about backing shit up.  Somewhat ironic/funny/sad considering what I do for a living.

Apple's re-download policy was part of their original licensing agreements with the labels. The only things I have ever been able to re-download are the "free" tracks they used to give out on Tuesdays (which actually pissed me off because there were a couple songs I loathed that I deleted and they kept re-downloading them every time I reconnected to the music store for several months).

Can you really re-download Amazon mp3's? I've bought a few albums on there and for the life of me can't figure out how to download them again.

Searching for answers on the internets also say no.

In the past, I don't think so.  But now, when you buy a mp3, save it to their cloud and you'll have unlimited downloads of it.

When with people learn that trains always win?  Yes, yes, even if you're driving a gravel truck.

(No reported deaths though, just one injury, luckily).

Information Systems Management. I've gotten some ideas from working with some of the knowledgebases and the joke of an ordering and requisitioning system we have at my employer. I'd been slumming it doing overpriced contract work  for too long. Time to make some changes.

Man I'd completely missed it was happening. Got back just in time for the scoring though. I can't be bothered to go through and actually look up any of the songs, I'll just stick with 'Really? Jedward?'

I'm spending today watching the screen scroll as data copies between two servers in a remote office.

For the last 45+ minutes, it's been displaying the gigs of individual MSG (email) files that one user has "archived" over the last 3 years.  My guess is that it could be every email this person has ever sent or received in that time.  At least I've identified the disk storage issue in that office now - couldn't figure out how 10 people in one office ate 40GB more local storage than the other 125 people in the company combined...

(edit : make that two users...   swamp poop)

Today I had my house professionally cleaned for the first time ever.  Let them in, gave them some money, went out, came back, and the house is all clean.  It is AWESOME.  They even made the clutter on my desk look less scary!

Pro Tip :  When someone says to a female in the group 'She was a lot like you' try to refrain from automatically chiming in 'Maybe not quite as heavy.'

If they haven't HEARD the song, it can cause a lot of friction...
