EA's FIFA World Cup 2006 Germany (X-Box) - I got the futbol fever. Other than graphic slowdown, the game's damn good. Dude, pick up Winning Eleven 9. I have both, and WE9 kicks the everliving shit out of FIFA (which I liked!). It will also help you get to know the club players better in readiness for the EPL season. Hell, maybe I will buy it and ship it to you- I need a playmate online! :-D

The EA version was cheaper and I couldn't actually find the Winning Eleven 9 here. 8 was on the shelf used, but not 9.

I found this new game, its called "Me vs Mexican Painters". The goal is to have your house end up looking nice, and in the proccess not die from the fumes. So far I seem to be losing. As I sit here in heavy paint fumes, wondering if they fixed the room that they painted the wrong color yet.

All my euro friends claim its a better game, is it just the gameplay or what? i'm thinking about buying it/xbox live for when i go back to college.

The actual gameplay is about 10x more complex (TONS of things you can do), and the different game modes (Cup, League, Master League, etc) are far, far deeper. Team management, formations, attack and defense strategies...
If you liked FIFA (which I did), you should LOVE WE9. It is a hell of a lot harder at first, but when you learn some of the sweet moves it is beyond fun. I highly recommend going through the various tutorials. I didn't at first, but checked them out a few days ago. I am a MUCH more dangerous scorer now.
Youtube has a bunch of gameplay videos. I saw one with Cristiano Ronaldo (who I fucking despise) dekeing in and out of a field full of practice players, doing all sorts of ball tricks and whatnot. About halfway through it, I decided I HAD to buy it.
FIFA is much more arcade-y; WE9 is more of a sim, but has far deeper mechanics even for player control.

Playing:
WoW - I'm levelling my first ever Warlock in anticipation of being able to move my Dwarf Priest to this newer server.
Dawn of War: Winter Assualt - I can't believe what a great game this is. Too bad finding anyone to play online with will make you hate humanity (Well, more than usual.)
Sim City4
Battlefield 2 - Rarely but when the FPS urge takes hold at least I have this massive thing installed and ready to play.
Pondering:
CivCity Rome
Pretty bored with everything actually. Sort of hoping something comes out and grabs my interest soon. (Non-console, since I'm now console less.)

Suikoden IV and will play V after. IV is fun, though the storyline is kind of boring. I hear the story in V is better.
This is like saying you heard Meryl Streep was a better actress than Paris Hilton, but you weren't really sure. Seriously, just skip straight to V. IV is a good example of how not to do a JRPG. V has much the same gameplay as IV, only better, and the story doesn't put you completely to sleep.

I can't seem to put Age of Empires DS down. WoW raiding has dwindled to once or twice a week.

So play it in the middle of the day.

Chromehounds exclusively at the moment. Squad games have been awesome. The only negative points are the disconnects and hassles in the MP lobbies.
I was playing alot of Titan Quest up until I bought CH, perhaps i'll play again but now have completed once i want to play MP, and none of my usual crowd are playing it anymore either.
Dawn of War:Winter Assault is fired up occasionally, as is TA Spring. TA Spring doesnt get played as it used too, a new version screwed up the AI that my mods, and a fix only came out recently.
I have a new DS Lite, and New Mario Bros. I'll get some more games soon.

Hmm, Oblivion again, with tons of mods this time. GTA:SA since I played it on PS2 the first time. May try finishing Bloodlines again, since my machine can finally handle it fully. I'll probably pick up HMM5.

I'm now on to Shadow Hearts 2. Judging only by the first 4 hours.. this is seriously one of the best console RPGs ever released. It makes any FF past 6 look like complete dogshit in comparison.

So play it in the middle of the day. Ironically that's what I did. Called in sick to work and started on it at noon, stopped around midnight. So far, V is better than IV in every sense, but especially in the story. Though, to my shock, I totally miscalled who the villain would be. I thought for sure they were setting up the Queen as the villain and the other guy was just a distraction. My bad.

I'm still playing Lost in Blue on the DS. I've decided it's more fun to hunt, fish, and gather twigs and fruits than to get off the island, even though I already have the key to the boat in the bad guys' lair. So I'm going for the "survive 365 days" ending.
Also playing Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, which for some reason I hadn't noticed existed until a month ago.

PC Dawn of War - Winter Assault is taking up most of my time. I haven't braved gen-pop online, just playing versus friends at the moment. Great game.
WoW - For less than an hour in the past week. Yet another guild busted up, I can't take building up again. Almost two years of build and fall. What kept me going was hoping to see all of the Raid stuff (never have gotten to in any MMO). Now I just don't care anymore. I'll pretend I saw it all with our ZG runs, and limited MC success. Maybe when the expansion hits I'll get busy again. I could join random guild X I guess, but then I'd feel like a traitor. I guess not logging in is sort of dodgy too, just doesn't feel as dirty as switching teams.

Demo was pretty cool, if slightly unstable. You basically get to play in the area showcased in the videos released on Steam awhile back.
It seems neat, in that you don't pick a "class." Instead you pick whatever skills you like, so you can make some sort of Hybrid character if you like.
