Okay, it's been attempted many, many times.  I'm going to attempt it again.

I wanted to set up a guild made up of folks from these boards, Corpnews, etc.  Basically all the ex-Lummies, folks who've joined in since those days, and lurkers.  It basically comes down to me getting sick of guilds I don't really like, pickup groups, and other horseshit.  I just want a no pressure guild of people I somewhat know and can argue with.  To facilitate the arguments, I've also got a Vent server already to go.

I'm setting up on Twisting Nether, the RP/PVP server.  I chose it mainly because I'm tired of vanilla PvE, and the roleplay server because those tend to cut down on the retards.  I've already played mainly Alliance, so I figured we'd go Horde 4 Life mah homies this time around.  Let me know if you're interested, or just look for Mustapha when you're in-game.

I posted my reply over on Corp, but I'm definately down with that.  Emerald Dream or Twisting Nether is fine, I don't care which.  As long as it's not Maelstrom, as I already have a high level Alliance character (you can't make characters from both sides on a pvp server).

If we can get a really nice sized group going, that would be awesome.

The thing is, I wanted us to pretty much get a fresh start.  When new people join the guild and they see half the people hopelessly beyond their level range it gets pretty damned discouraging.

My current guild basically all started together, has only recruited people in the same level range, has stayed at the x9 of the range (for bg reasons) until everyone can advance and has been one of the most successful guilds I've ever seen.  If you can talk people into doing that I think you'll have much success..

I know you'll be heartbroken, but I'm not grinding up again.. having too much fun in the endgame right now as it is.. :)

Me and a friend of mine recently started alts on Twisting Nether, we decided to try alliance just because we already have played Horde a bunch. So if you go alliance on TN, you can count the two of us in. If you go horde, well, I can at least kill you guys.

I would recommend you start it up on Emerald Dream, as we had an f13.net guild there about five months ago and most of the old people will probably return if it gets started up.  I have a 30 priest and can spend most of my time helping people get started out until they catch up.

It's the most worthless thing I've ever seen.. all it manages to do is bring the wrath of Cevik against you, and that's not typically something you want.. hence the sarcastic "ohh no, he's going to moonfire spam you", because even though it's  a worthless stupid strategy.. it's still what every damned druid in the world does as I /laugh and kill them..

Grouped with a 50 druid in Maraudon last night.  He was moonkin and did quite a bit of damage, especially when we got to the AoE part.

Although, we also had a ghetto hunter (some crazy tri-brid), and a holy priest, a protection warrior.  Never seen that group before.

You're almost right... BWL/AQ equipped moonkin can do some decent damage... 900 crit moonfire ~70% the time and ~2.5-3k starfire crit ~30% of the time. Both added together as one hit since you chain the instant moonfire on the starfire. Starfire+Moonfire+Wrath+Wrath+Wrath is most people's life bar. The problem is to be an effective moonkin you need to be tricked out in spell damage gear, with all the spell power enchants, and the ephemeral and zandalar talismans. My ex-roommate is specc'd moonkin and he's got half the stormrage set and is looking to get the AQ set. Once people start to have the AQ set, which is built specifically for a balance druid, that's when druids will actually be able to match (almost!) a mage's damage.

If you're in blues and greens, and you try and go balance, you might as well lie down and get ready to be deep fried like the turkey you are.

Well, my main is on Detheroc, in a BWL guild horde side. I have also been playing alts on Twisting Nether, alliance side. I might be persuaded to change servers to try out alliance again if there was a brand new PVP(RP?) server. I would love to catass to 60, and try to get rank 14 before there was much competition.

I love me some new servers, i'd be open to starting an alliance warlock on one and catassing with you.  I just catassed 75k honor at L53 and only advanced half a level in First Sergeant.

Edit: Shitty thing about new servers is that they've opened them for mainly transfer purposes.  So you wouldn't be able to rank up very quickly on them.  How far along are you guys on TN?

Far along as characters or as server life?

The server is the newest of the RP-PVP servers. So maybe 3 months old. I have seen a few people running around in Rank 13 puples. But there are a ton of people leveling. So it seems pretty new still, but not as new as to give a major advantage if we leveled fast.

As far as characters, I have a paladin to almost lvl 20. A rl friend of mine is lvl17 warrior, and a guy from my detheroc guild just rolled a paladin also, he is lvl9. But I dont know if he will really play much. Right now im having fun with all the new alliance quests and zones and stuff. We will see how long it holds my attention.
