No Nerf, but I put a link to this very thread and I said that you all can guarantee for my purity. I even mentioned your case, and see if they can take a look at your lawn from a Michigan perspective.

Doesn't matter, servers are still locked for testing and the transfer service is deader than Hunter S.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something. We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

Everyone is transfering to a RP server and anyone who forgets their "thee"'s and "thy"'s will be de-guilded and laughed at.

Consensus seems to be stay on Steamfont, ride out the server merge with Oasis, and thats it. People are invited to bring alts to Steamfont as well.

I know it is premature for Bat Country, but I plan to get a guild group into Solusek tonight and will report on the revamp. It was the best zone in the game already so I am damn excited about how they changed it.

Any update as to whether you can login yet? I was unable to login around 11:00 Pacific time this morning. Patched fine, but login servers were down.

It's up now, Steamfont anyways.
Couple of bugs: - Certain UI Mods cause the new character creation / class selection screens to shit the bed. If suffering, turn them off and wait for the modders to fix. - If Mail acts wonky, don't delete anything. A hot fix will be out soon to fix the fact that mail containing items that would arrive at their destination post-patch are broken.

I went out and killed stuff to figure out what needed changing. I died when I found out Cheapshot didn't work because I needed to re-add it to my hotbar.

I think that's what Surlyboi was going to do, too. I logged off before I could hear his screams, though.

Got in, level 7 Warlock. I was convinced I was going Wizard until exactly two nights ago when I tested the last class I hadn't gotten a chance too. Seems like the emphasis on DoTs and whatnot should allow the Warlock to draw less aggro in later situations. Hard to see right now though. Grouped with Mi Tes (as Thera) in Queens Colony last night, stuff just died too damned fast to tell.
Fun as heck. Lag got me stabby later into the evening, but it only ended up being bone-crushing while doing quest turn-ins.

The screaming was minimal. I've got one toon to relearn and two new ones to learn from scratch. I'm not as effective as I used to be as a ranger, but I was doing a pretty decently against yellow mobs with the monk. The templar... I've still got the shakes from that experience.

Since my Crusader was 13, the transition to 14 Paladin was fairly painless, the AOE melee attack is gone but I got a tiny group heal that I guess someone thinks makes the class more "Paladin" like. The low level spells and combat arts that I saw in the spellbook looked worthless. They fixed a bug with writs today, I guess the status points were a little overinflated? The ability to pick and choose writs meant I was able to grab a couple that I could solo in Antonica, and I did one killing withered scarecrows that got a good deal of SP. Probably should have done more.
Got my 23 Illusionist out, and the class got some love. The 23 AOE Stun is now an AOE Mez, and it is awesome and actually accomplishes the goal of making the class feel like it's supposed to. Also, the silence DoT is now a DD, so caster enemies are even easier fodder, since its the first spell my pet casts. Speaking of which, letting me name my pet is a trivial yet very welcome addition.
Either item discoveries got wiped or they cleared them out when players transfered off the server, the more likely occurance. It was awesome seeing everyone who was on last night discovering shit.

When you find an item no one else has found. This is announced to your guild and goes in the Guild Events tab for prosperity. If you are not guilded, it still becomes part of your character's history at eq2players.com. RE: LU19, anyone else experience a marked increase in performance post-patch? I cranked my Graphis Resolution setting to the max (1.000) from .800 and the game is still smoother than it was pre-patch.

Sweet. I am Mcgrirk, Discoverer of Low Level Quest Pants. That's a pretty funny fumble, when we merge with Oasis there will be 4 discoverers of these items.

Whenever I create a new character now, I get a blank screen where the 3D graphics should be after logging in. I can still see all the interface parts, bring up menus, etc, but all the game 3D is black. When I camp out, right before it exits I can see normal graphics but then I'm dumped back to desktop/char select. 'tis a bit annoying.

That is the EXACT same problem Koboshi had with City of Heroes. Interesting.

As to screaming, on the swashbuckler they totally removed one of the attack styles. it did kind of overlap with a current one, but it will be missed. means I have to wait longer when I've used all the attacks for stuff to become usable again.
Swashbucklers had 2 attacks that would lower a mobs damage. One does damage and lowers the actual DPS by somewhere from 18-21 or so. The other did damage and slowed the mob by 24-31%. So basically just another DPS reducer, but it was very useful for when you were fighting things with fast swinging weapons. They could both be stacked, and the attack speed reducer would actually overlap with itself for about 1.5 seconds.
So I can see where they might think it was overpowering, especially in PvP, but to remove the choice between dps reducer or attack speed, I think was wrong. There are times when I would really like the attack speed reducer, versus just a lowering of dps. They should have folded them in together, and let you choose which one you wanted to use.
They just took out that whole attack line without giving a replacement for it.
And then the lower level skills they replaced, that I had at master1 level, were replaced with fricking adept3's. Not that I use them anymore, but it was still annoying to see them do that.
However some of that is offset by them adding close to 70 to all your skills like gathering, ranged etc. My ranged had been around 90 pre-patch, and post patch it was 170ish, and it maxxed out safe fall, swim, and gathering skills that were just a couple points away from being maxxed.
So you lose some, and you win some. I fought a couple of things, and it seemed like the same cons were dying slightly faster post patch. So maybe they increased dps slightly to compensate for losing a whole attack. Who knows, I should check the patch notes to see if they mention anything like that.

Turns out the problem was me. I have ThorUI set for "chat while zoning" which prevents the new intro movie from playing for new characters and screws all that up. Bad me.

It's been a wihile since I logged in my swashbuckler but I thought the slow was a movement speed slow and not an attack speed slow. Attack speed slow will say "decreases attack speed" or something, whereas a movement speed reducer will just say "slows by x%".

If you are not guilded, it still becomes part of your character's history at eq2players.com. I'm a bit confused: I thought discovery was the first person on the server to discover something. Your description implies it's the first person in the guild. Is it the latter?

Ah good. Thought I was going nuts. That still makes me wonder how they'll handle things when the servers merge. Who gets the credit for everyone else to see? In any case, I ran across a plausible reason as to why there's so many new discoveries happening: It's not confusion and it's not a bug, it is a new item. Rather than "editing" the items they wanted to modify, they simply created new models with the changes they wanted and then inserted them into the game and then deleted the old model. The record still exists for the old discovery and new records are being created for the new discoverys.

The board reasoning seems to be that items got reset when they added new info. So people discovered the old items, now they can discover the new items, that have the same name but are unique items in the db.
That sounded like the most plausible explanation, if people still have their original discovery stats. So after transfers, a server can have four people who have discovered the same thing.

I suck. I copied the wrong stupid quote... Fixed it. It's this one: It's not confusion and it's not a bug, it is a new item. No wonder they want to clean out their database of old chars and such, they need room for all this stuff!

I give not shit one about the RP server new patch. Yeah, I lost a coupla good nukes, but my 'petrify' got turned into an attack instead of a 'root'. Whatevs. I'm still too new to have invested enough to give a shit. Frankly, EQ2 is just AIM with all my f13 buddies anyway, so whatevs.
I love you guys, and that's not just the vicodin talking.
