Can we get that with a side of Final Fantasy VII for the PS3 and Simcity 2000 with the graphics updated to modern standards?

Rockstar games does, The Oregon Trail.

That bitch jacked my wagon axles!

O. M. G. You read my mind. I'm serious as a fucking heart attack! I was talking to Sauced about how they should re-do this game for weeks before seeing this post. I thought it might even make a good MMORPG, except for the whole pioneers vs. Native Americans thing, and how the Native Americans wouldn't really have anything to do except assist and/or harass pioneers. Shooting deer and trading for ammo doesn't seem that far from some of the crafting shit anyway. Think of how fun it would be to see your fellow gamers dying of dysentary, or teaming with others to haul off the 900 buffalo you killed. MAybe the natives could be NPCs or give quests like "go get this herb so I can heal your party's ague".

I want Zelda games, and more of them, but with less predictable puzzles and tougher enemies. Adventure games that have lots of sidequests to max out an extra 10-20 hours of gameplay. With more interactive environments. I think I basically want Riven for the console, but with combat and some narrative. And with the puzzles just a wee bit easier than Riven's.

Edit: I want more Ico.

Yes, Deadwood the MMOG. Or Deadlands. Either/Or.

Except it'll be called (heh, unoriginal, but suitable): The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Or translated for MMOG's: The Grind, the Stupid, and the Mangina.

I'd take a Shadowrun game with Bioware doing the RPG elements.  Throw in a GTA-type environment, with the gameplay shifting to squad-based style combat whenever you're doing a run in a corp building.

BAM!  Didn't we have this discussion months ago?  Wishing MSFT with the FASA license would do something with it.  /sigh

Bah. There would be 1000 Als and Bullocks for every Johnny or Wu. Although all the mangina fans could play whores, so it does have some merit.

I think we had a similar discussion, but the point of this topic is discussing what would be our perfect games.  As Stray pointed out, the Shadowrun game we're getting more than likely isn't going to be what most of us Shadowrun fans were looking for.

My bad, Stray - I was skimming.

Being a native Oregonian, we played this every rainy day at recess starting in like, 4th grade or something. LOVED it. But the Chimney Rock cutscene was pretty lame, don'tcha think?

No, remember? There were crappy cutscenes that were just a picture with gigantic pixels and some really godawful old grifter tune, like Oh Susannah.

A Battletech game worthy of the license material...
-Using all the units including non mech types from basic infantry squads to aerospace assets.
-A mixture of RTS and FPS combat modes, allowing people in command vehicles or mechs like the Cyclops to control AI units and issue orders to other PC driven mechs.
-Some kind of super intuitive and well designed way for players to climb the ranks of the various mech units
-Large scale super cool economic system tied to factories, populations, planet's controlled, logistics to battlefield ect.

EvE online but with less tidium in mining and production, an even better economy with some kind of really cool player invention system and space flight sim combat instead of auto attack.  Also faster travel and less empire space.

Or how about Conan the MMO that does everything it promises, or twilightwar not being vaporeware or Huxley not sucking for the reasons all non US games seem to suck (no legible in-game info, hella grindy if its Korean ect)

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.

I'm trying to remember, but it was close to 20 years ago.  Plus I played the the graphical version a few years later at my Jr. High.

I have superhuman memory. But I also don't remember having ever played any version except the one that came out in like, '84 or something. For the Apple 2e.

Yeah, that's pretty much mine, too, 'cept that I'm a bigger fan of Heavy Gear than of Battletech.  Some kind of game where you can actually play an infantryman or a tank or a gear or the captain on the deck of a battleship or anything else you feel like.  Like BF1942, except with an interesting setting.  Ideally, it'd have some kind of free-form persistent single player campaign, too.
