http://www.goblinworkshop.com/items/really-sticky-glue.html

Make multiple characters to go through the quests at low levels and collect this stuff as needed. A faster potential way to collect it is to advertise that you will purchase the glue from players.

Comes in stacks. Hotkey it up and use it in PvP. Immobilizes target for 10 seconds, which is incredibly helpful in many situations.

One advantage for me is that this frees up my shock timer to utilize the more mana efficient and utilitarian flame and earth shocks, as keeping the target in (or out of) range is much easier. Will become more useful once frost shock has diminishing returns.

There's a lowbie quest that gives a stack of slumbering sand too. It deals 20 or 30 seconds sleep and can be used during combat, you cant damage the target though, unlike the above, but its still useful for bandaging etc.

The glue is also helpful for hunters trying to soothe a difficult pet.

Bah, frost trap is all hunters need.

I thought I was the only one sniffing the glue (making alts and hoarding stacks). Haven't in a while now, though. Almost out of snowballs, too. Sad panda.

Are there even any hunters left since the latest on the test server?  Even Blizzard is getting troubled.  They removed every complaining post about it from the general forum.  They didn't move them to the hunter forum... they deleted them.

No worries, though.  The hunter fourm is bubbling over with hate.  Over six hundred people signed the I Quit This POS petition. How many just quietly cancelled?  The devs are just trotting off the sort of stuff that Verant used to say.  "Working as intended", "we fixed a bug, we didn't nerf anything", "this was how it was orignally intended", " STFU you customer, you!"... when will they bring out the Vision document?

What does this have to do with glue, you ask?

Umm... they're both sticky?   rolleyes

PS I might have some snowballs left, Sky.  If I do, and I ever log in again, I'll mail them to you if you're playing on ER.

I'm guessing almost none, just like the thousand times "every rogue" "every shaman" "every paladin" or "every shadowknight" was going to quit Everquest.

I love the really sticky glue because I suck at PvP.

The snowballs make me cry.  I almost bought a snowball making machine the second day of the winter event, but did not figuring the event would last a while and prices would go down.  Whoops.  Now I can only turn into a snowman 15 more times :(

They had snowball making machines? Damn! I've got a sack of spices leftover, too, but I can't make eggnog because I have no spirits. Ah, well. Nowhere near as cool as snowballs. Great for instigating and playing around on a PvE server when the alliance isn't flagged yet. I used most of them up on driveby snowballings trying to start a fight :)

Yeah, it sounds pretty bad. I need to transfer my lvl 57 hunter over and check it out. I'm certainly not about to quit over it, though. That's silly, it's a fun game. I'd play my shaman or rogue or something. My feeling is the true issues with the patch (like pet damage) will be addressed (they've already said as much).

We all know (or should) how seriously to take official game boards. I remember the outrage over the nerf to ammo pouch haste (and bug fix of stacking pouches...damn exploiters had the nuts to gripe!). I didn't notice it at all in the game, if anything I was more effective because I was fighting equal con elites when it went in.

If anyone on Archimonde really needs snowballs, I have a bunch from my snow machine and will send them to you- just PM me your name and I will send.

Yeah, one of the winter quests had a bunch of possible awards, one of which was an engineering schematic to make a machine that could produce one snowball a day.  I got a recipe for an axe instead :(

Oh, yeah. Thanks for reminding me.

I must've been bad, I got 3 copper ore. I was still playing my warrior back then, man I levelled that hunter pretty fast!

Whats funny about all the hunters saying "I quit" is that most of them havent tried the test server.

All my guildmate hunters went and tried it, and the overall concencus was "Hey this isnt that bad, and now I totally own rogues also".

Yep.  It's been quite amusing dropping a hunter's mark on a few rogues as they try and sneak past or around back to gank someone in the group.  I haven't tried anything 1vs 1 but I've been fine in GvsG.

So they didn't notice the pet damage nerf that was overdone so Blizz is re-doing it? Right.

I haven't seen it, but if it's significant enough for Blizz to publicly post they're changing it, it has to be perceptible. I guess your guild's hunter don't care much about their pets?

They didn't notice their miss rate skyrocket with the new ability for all characters to dodge/block/parry ranged non-spell (ie: hunter's) attacks?

Interesting.

Righ tested it and has mostly given up his Hunter in favour of a warrior, except for raids.

One thing game companies need to learn is that "working as intended" and "fixed a bug" are not valid after you release a product. A behavior change is a behavior change.

I've read as much as I could stomach on the Bizz forums about this hunter business and it's pretty awful.  How long did tons of people work on their hunter to get them to level 60 in the condition they wanted them?  How hard did they work to get the gear they needed with the attributes that would best suit them?  Four months?

I'm sorry but you don't take a character that's been worked on for that long and completely change it.  If you do, people quit.  A lot of people.  Yes, Blizz might have 1.5 million subscribers, but if they plan to do this sort of thing class by class, the numbers will start to dwindle.  I'm sure the Chinabots will stick around, though.  At least until they find no more buyers for their illgotten goods.

Well, they looked at the numbers and decided dodging and parrying ranged attacks lowers hunter DPS by too much, so they can no longer be dodged or parried.  They actually tested something on the test server.  They have also said that the pet damage reduction on test was unintended and will be fixed.  Looks like most of the "OMG TEH SKY IT FALLS BLIZZRD U KILL MY HUNTER ITS TEH 9-11 OF WORLD OF WARCRAFT I QUIT !!111!1" screaming on the official boards was a bit premature (or maybe it worked, who knows).

In other news, most good warrior gear will still be useless in PvP!  Viva la hunter!

In any event, more people will quit a static game where imbalances are allowed to fester than will quit a game that attempts to rectify those imbalances.

Yes, well, I was doing my womanly over-exaggeration hysterical thing, El Gallo.  I do it once every month.  So shuddup or I'll give you such a pinch.

What is it with you people and the pinching?  When I act like a jackass my wife pinches the crap out of me.  As you can imagine, it happens a lot.

Also, I edited my post to clarify that I was mocking people on the hunter board.  Compared to them, your post read like a William F Buckley article :p
