Lots of call-backs to the first film.
Adam Warlock visible once.
Has a melancholy feeling even with all the jokes.

Also got the High Evolutionary and what I assume are the New Men.

The new groot looks incredibly cheap. Like Doctor Who level bad.

Yeah, there's something really off about it. I think most people think it's because Groot is meant to be "dude in a suit" from this point on for Disney parks and so on. But it looks pretty much like "dude in a suit" hence Doctor Who as apt comparison.

Liked this one a lot. Glad they didn't go the obvious route with a lot of things to close out the trilogy. Between this and the Christmas Special, Mantis might be my favorite Guardian. Also glad that this got to just be a good Guardians movie without having to worry about setting anything else up.

That was an unexpectedly high amount of gore, baby animal torture, genocide and cussing. Great movie though.

That was a lot of fun. My biggest quibble, which is pretty minor, is that the bad guy is just basically Ego again (megalomaniacal father figure who needs to re-kidnap the protagonist he created long ago so that he can use their unique abilities to remake the galaxy in his image). But that's a much better well to go back to than "steal the glowing macguffin that shoots a blue laser into space", so whatever. Overall I liked this one better than Guardians 2, and I liked Guardians 2.

Thoroughly enjoyed this today. Lots of good callbacks, great music, I thought that Mantis stood out as did Nebula. Dave Batista was great, but the only bad show I've seen him in was the stupid Vegas/Zombie flick. Adam Warlock gave me occasional Homelander vibes but was very easy to engage with. It really was Rocket's movie though, it was nice to Starlord and Gamora not overwhelming the arc. That's 3 from 3 good movies in a trilogy for me. Time to leave it alone and not ruin it. As someone who is jaded about the quality of Marvel films, I went in and enjoyed it, walking out of the cinema knowing that it was just a damn good ending that had me smiling.
