Deserves its own thread now. Season 2 comes out Friday.

This is first-rate royalist porn (this colonial is feeling very dirty and very good) with top notch acting, production values and writing. John Lithgow was phenomenal in the first season. Claire Foy is fantastic (and this is her last season playing Lizzie2)

this is a apperently good. I keep seeing positive feedback from unconnected sources.

I've watched both seasons and I enjoyed it. They went out of their way to make everything extremely accurate visually. I'm sure some of the details have been embellished but a good portion of the events portrayed are accurate from an outsiders point of view. They also aren't flattering to the people involved at all times either.

I started to enjoy it, then got distracted by the series Victoria which is far superior in entertainment stakes and made me want to research that time period.
