Evidently, blue walling is when a player who isn't flagged yet attacks a player who is flagged, getting a free shot.

You got it right, Signe.

By the way.. disturbing avatar. I like it.

So let me get this strait, ER has become such a pussy server that it is actually "morally wrong" to kill someone who has just rezzed? So what are you supposed to do.  Stand there infront of them while they med to full and buff up before attacking them again?  They are Alliance, you are horde.  If they are flagged, and you are flagged, one of you should be dead asap.  I fail to see the problem.

That's my opinion too, and I'm not on a PvP server.  If you're too stupid to wait-out your PvP flag before rezzing, all alone and right near a Horde city where you just got ganked, well you deserve to get ganked as often as your stupid ass takes to learn the lesson.   I'd *almost* want to roll-up an ER character just so I can commit these 'crimes against humanity' against these whiny Alliance twits.  BLearg!

The term actually comes from the method used to recapture an Alliance town after the Horde captured and held it. What would happen is an overwhelming force of Alliance would come running in a steady stream. Rather than assembling somewhere and flagging to fight, they would assemble at the town, without marking themselves for PvP. Once they had achieved roughly 4:1 numbers, they'd attack from unflagged en mass - a blue wall of players. It clearly makes no sense to apply the term blue wall to one player who choses to initiate PvP by attacking.

ER *is* a pussy server, and people like Nock and Poppop are the ultimate PvP pussies. Despite being on an arrrpee server, they choose to metagame and insist on a code of honor that suits their forum trolling agenda. The hatred for LD appears to stem from a time when Poppop and some Horde jerk were duelling outside Orgrimmar while flagged. I saw the alarm bells ringing, flagged up and rode out of Orgrimmar to defend. They had already started to retreat, and I killed one just outside the gate. Tab targeted the next enemy, and it was Poppop. Did an intercept and started beating on him. Meanwhile the guy duelling him starts yelling to me to stop - by the time I pay attention to the chat window, he's yelling "Stop you fucking moron". I disengage, and walk away bewildered. Said horde member then decides to apologise for my behaviour on the ER boards. I counter, point out the idiocy of attempting to duel outside the gates of an enemy city, while flagged yet, and while the Alliance are attacking that city. My guildmates in Lucid defend my position.

Threads like these make me happy, once again, that the Earthen Ring you guys talk about and the one I'm on are different.

Seriously, I can understand the 'en masse' blue flagging as being annoying (though no more annoying than the alliance outnumbering us EVERYWHERE) - but complaining about someone getting the first hit in ?  Hey, that's PvP for you.  Suck it up and don't flag, nooblers.

I PvP anyone I come across on my server who's flagged.  The only way they get flagged is by PvPing or aiding someone who is.  That means you get a target slapped on your back and you're SOL.  And those who complain about corpse camping ?  Similarly shit out of luck.  Grow a pair, as you guys would say.

Might as well.  ER needs to begin the process of being depussified, and a few good flame wars are probably in order.

Why CTF is unfairly tilted in favor of Horde

"Yes, the main Horde problem stems from shaman. However, other problems are there in the form of Orc stun resist, Tauren war stomp, and of course Will of the GG"

This from the people who brought you Leeroy, so Blizzard will probably listen. They are chosen sons now.

I get a kick out people stereotyping Alliance.  My server is totally balanced.  Actually we probably have more horde, as SS was always owned by horde till a guild showed up in mass to push them back.  Oh no side A is full of kids but side B is all mature adults.  Unless this was just your way of trying to get some roleplay started on this board.  To which i'll have to pass thanks.

Anyways..

Frostshock is bugged in that druids cannot shed the snare when hitting travel form the way they are supposed to.
Purge is over powered by far and will get a nerf soon no doubt.  sweet...
And the shock line of spells are a joke.

Shamans are not overpowered.   I think they have some overpowered spells that need some tweaking.
Now you want to talk overpowered, let's nerf the shadow priests.
I also hear that bloodlust will be returned to shamans.   But this was mentioned in a thread concerning mage invisibility (which mages dont need) but will probably get anyways.
What is bloodlust?

I've got no problem with the racial traits.  The undead one is overpowered.  Pallys should be able to use thier spells against undead players and not only npcs.  But otherwise tweak the shaman and I don't have a problem with them.  Just the above points need to be addressed.

Bat Country gets a mention, not necessarily as a worst name, but as one that confused some warlock bint. I pointed the thread back here as possible elucidation. Enjoy.

Righ, please convince as many people as possible to kill and camp that douchetard Poppop.  Then come back here and post links when he cries more on the forums.  God I hate people like that.  Sniveling catass dipshit forum-whores who think they're some sort of "community leader" or some such.  I roleplay, but I hate roleplayers, because any congregation of them automatically produces or attracts people like that.

I was in an RP guild in UO, and we had some "allies" that were right up this asshole's alley.  They roleplayed Drow (of course) and considered themselves "gatekeepers" of the incestuous little roleplay community on that shard.  Their RP appeared to consist entirely of standing around acting like arrogant asshats at every meeting, being as obstructionist as possible when anyone outside of their clique wanted to do anything, never showing their faces anywhere outside of a meeting (certainly never helping us fight in the wars that were going on) and conspiring to split up our guild.

I'm normally a huge carebear, but I was the first to suggest the course of action we took once we'd had enough.  We were having another meeting in one of our Drow "friends" houses.  The house was in Felucca.  It was set to public access, but the doors and teleporters were friends-only for some reason.  So our GM cast a gate to a pre-marked location outside, and all two dozen of us rushed in.  The much smaller number of Drow were hacked to pieces and drylooted before getting off more than one or two house bans.

It's one of my fondest UO memories.  I gave away several pieces of armor with their crafters tag on them to guildmates, as souveneirs, but I still have one of their gorgets.

Holy fuck. Some people just really do not understand what the fuck PVP means. I mean, really. It's a competition. People who are competing will generally do anything and everything they can get away with to gain even the slightest advantage, including trying to ensure they get the first fucking hit. Anyone who flags is a target. Anyone who flags by attacking is a target.

Sure, it's a cheese dick maneuver, but fuck. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? What a bunch of sandy vaginas.

When you participate in PvP that is mutually consentual (either by flagging on a PvE server, or deciding to play on a PvP server) then yeah, anything goes.  It's foolish to think otherwise.

Battlegrounds causes Alliance on ER to start realizing that they suck.

Congrats to you Horde, you showed what I've proclaimed for months; that endless zerging has made the Alliance soft and prove unable to coordinate with efficiency, and so many months of being zerged has hardened you into an effective fighting force, where putting you on even terms with your opponents will often merely lead to a brisk victory.

Edited to add :

"I  had made a statement before that no TM camper were garner any kind of respect from me and this is the reason why. Sure at TM the range people had an extreme advantage because they could stand behind the lines and not get reamed. Come battlegrounds though, that is a totally different story. Everything is much more fluid and especially in the CTF you will come across one on ones. The sad fact is most of these high ranking people don't know what to do with themselves when faced by classes they didn't normally come across. Sorry Mr. Nelf Hunter 3294295, you can't just sit there plinking arrows at the charging warrior anymore. Better rethink your strategy cause if he gets up close and personal he's liable to rip you a new one. "

Indeed.

Great stuff.

I certainly possess no great skill at pvp - but in about 10 Warsong matches, our random groups have lost only ONE to the Alliance.

"No, We Can't Kill Korrak, Moron (Elmoshorc)"

Quote from: Narshala
Okay, this is getting on my nerves. No, we will not kill Korrak the Snuffalu!@!us until we have control of the center. Korrak will still be there an hour later. Korrak respawns in the Battleground. If you're playing Alterac as much as you are, you will eventually get around to killing him. In fact, we killed him two nights ago... AFTER we had the Alliance on the ropes.

If you're here to self-serve and take a shot at Korrak for the quest reward or whatever, go home. Just go. Open a slot to someone more willing to fight for your faction. Korrak is eventually on our list of "Things to Do" but only when we can handle him and the Alliance. Attacking Korrak and them aggro'ing him onto your teammates... YOUR GRAVEYARD... is an idiotic move and your right to free-thought should be revoked.

Part of the Battlegrounds strategy is questing strategically. Not putting on the "Lewt Hooer" hate and doing your own thing.

I already hate that Korrak thing. Ok guys we're taking the last graveyard! Then some chucklehead starts spamming the raid to do Korrak. The other chuckleheads go up there, leaving the graveyard overrun. You get rolled, and they don't kill Korrak because they only have 8 people up there.

I nutted up and went into the WoW forums and found this gem.

Quote from: Some Alliance Whiner
I was just partaking in an enjoyable session of PvP in Warsong Gulch. The Horde had out graveyard camped, which I don't really have a problem with. It's a perfectly legitimate strategy, albiet a bit irritating. So I got spawnkilled once or twice, but the next thing that happened was a little bit unfair, unjust, and downright cruel. A higher lvl priest mind controlled me, and walked me right out of the instance door.

I exited the BG.

Crud, I thought. Maybe It'll let me back in. No dice. Back on the queue.

After waiting in a queue for 45 minutes, already.

And after playing the BG for a total of, maybe, 5.

This should not be possible.

It is not fair to force a player to exit the battlegrounds. It COMPLETELY ruins the experience, and forces you to wait in the queue AGAIN.

Makes me want to roll up a priest.
