Heh. Not too bad, although my eyes glazed over about halfway through the spec part. Having never played a priest, it didn't make much sense.

I love this thread. ;)

No. You were wrong. I wish this weren’t the case, but it is. There are not tradeoffs. You unknowingly picked the wrong race. This means racial trait questions, race questions, anything with the words “night elf”, should not be posted. Don’t ask me, ask the assweasels that coded racial traits/spells. If you feel the need to justify your poor choice, please do so here and get it allllll out, so the no more posts ever have to be mislead by your choices.

Even after the restart, bad things were happening with instances - "Transfer aborted - could not create instance". The assweasels at Blizzard might end up making Wolfpack look credible.

You'd prefer a simple sb.exe to an in-game error message?

If only it were all that good. I get the CTD "Please tell us what you were doing" functional equivalents of sb.exe too. Most often their servers will not accept the bug report.

I have two wireless networks, and if I roam from one to the other (they are on different frequencies to deal with local radio pollution)  the game will ask me on next reload if I want to reset my preferences. Picking either 'yes' or 'no will result in my preferences being wiped out. Blizzard told me that they had disabled the 'no' choice because you should always reset your preferences if your hardware changes. My hardware isn't fucking changing, and 1024x768 does not approximate to my widescreen LCD in any way.

If you aren't going to accept bug reports and you are always going to force the preferences state to be reset to default, kindly don't contribute to my RSI by making me click more than I need to.

About half the time I click on one of these links, it takes me to a forum page that is empty of posts.  Does anybody know what causes this?

And yet it worked fine when I checked it before posting.  Hmm...
Anyways I still had the post open, just refreshed and it's gone??
wtf....

added:  seems the whole Raid forum went down, which is where that post came from

It's a chain reaction of Stupid that causes everything to become obliterated, and it happens on the WoW forums dozens of times daily.

WoW forums don't archive... if a thread gets pushed off the bottom it dies, and unless someone is bumping that puppy pretty hard, it doesn;t take long for a thread to hit bottom.

EDIT: I didnt catch the original, but here is a cool post quoted in my realm's forum.

Those forums are a complete waste of resources imo. That's one thing SOE did right: kill Whineplay. Why give a small subset of your users a place to officially bitch about the game they're playing anyway, and pay for it, to boot? Dumb.

I didn't read the thread, so I don't have context, but I have a group of friends who have used "nub" since early UO Siege Perilous days.

The raid leader a.k.a. master looter has exclusive access to the corpse, but he apparently moved and the loot window closed, opening the corpse to be looted by everyone else in the raid.  T

Yeah, but it's the way that even the screenshots show the dialog :

I can't read the whole thread to see if anybody explains it, but it works like this: heals are interrupts, just like attacks. Master looter 'loots the corpse' except that it just locks it to the ML for distribution. When ML releases the corpse, it becomes FFA. Ninja plays healer class and waits for ML to access corpse. Heals ML to create interrupt. Loots.

It's this simple - Master Looter only exists to grief idiots. It creates a false sense of security, and invites people to exploit its flaws. It has been reported, but its yet another bug Blizzard cant or wont fix. RULE 1: don't group with people you don't trust. RULE 2: there is no RULE 2.

I have trouble believeing that healing someone would actually count as an interupt on the person recieveing the heal...opening the corpes and then being tricked into moving to close it again, thereby breaking the Master Looter Lock i could see.

I mean, if healing counted as an interupt, couldnt any idiot with a stack of bandages achieve the same effect?

I never knew you could push someone off a corpse with a heal, but I have oticed healing someone can do weird things. I can't for the life of me remember what it was but I remember remarking to myself that I messed someone up when I healed them. And in the back of my mind is an impression that healing interrupts, so I can see it being possible.

So annoying that I can't remember exactly why I have that impression. :/
