You may be surprised on that one. I may be a Scottish Nationalist egalitarian republican, but I think that, for England, the monarchy is an important part of what makes her special.

I've read that the monarchy, in terms of tourism, newspaper sales, etc., is a net financial gain for the UK (even set-off against money spent on keeping it going).  If that's true, you don't even need to delve into tradition or nostalgia or whatnot to keep them.
