I just love his opener "Its a great day for America because ...". Everyone's like,"Right, like you give a shit". Its hilarious.

I should get back to nature, too. You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer. Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached. Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

It was a good monologue. I just think it fell apart mainly because the subject, Miss Britney, has done everything she can to BE hounded by the same people she's now so stressed about. Almost instant karma.
Karma doesn't tmean what you think it means. Karma is not "what goes around comes around". Karma is much more like "actions have effects". There is no rebounding moral effect implied in any way though.

What? I think you're mistaken. Nope, lamaros is right: My Name Is Earl is an inadequate introduction to the idea of Karma. Dharmic-oriented karma is not a matter of "you did this, so you deserve that". it is a matter of "you did this, and the natural and inevitable result of such an action is this." In other words, it is a simple, inexorable process of non-judgemental cause and effect. The Greek idea of Nemesis may well spring from the same, ancient roots: an individual suffering the specific consequences of certain of their actions, even though they do not, on the whole, seem to deserve such harsh results. Buddhists go further and throw seasons, "genetic" inheritance and the laws of physics in there. That said, there are minority views in Hinduism, as well as in eastern-influenced Christian sects like Gnosticism, where God sees the action and dispenses an appropriate reaction. Edit: clarified who I was addressing.

He's right. In the original Hindu interpretation, it's just a way of thinking "If everyone was nice to everyone, then everything would be nice." Not "If you're mean, fate will magically bring it back to you."
It got changed into that as it migrated West and suffered from poor translations.

Karma doesn't tmean what you think it means. Karma is not "what goes around comes around". Karma is much more like "actions have effects". There is no rebounding moral effect implied in any way though. Right, and her actions (being a media whore who exposes almost everything about her life) had forseeable effects (being hounded by the media even when she didn't want it). She's suffering the effects of her desire to be famous, quite appropriately I might add. Buddhist doctrine is that suffering is caused by desire, and her specific desire is resulting in a specific suffering. My interpretation, you know, the only one that matters to me, is that karma is an entirely appropriate to the discussion of Britney's troubles. I wasn't saying it's "what goes around comes around." It just happens to be a very circular series of events in this case.

Well, every google result I've found factors good and evil/bad actions as creating appropriate results in the next life.
Edit: excuse me while I Sir Bruce my point a tad.
I'm open to believe that Buddism and/or Hinduism didn't originally feel that moral choices factored into karma. I'd want to see some documentation before I believe that's still their idea of karma, since every online resource I've found speaks to the contrary. However, words evolve, and karma definitely takes morality into account by our definitions today.

Well, every google result I've found factors good and evil/bad actions as creating appropriate results in the next life. Karma wasn't JUST in the next life, it could have implications in this life, and not just for the person who commits the act, but also for those around that person.

Actually no. Most of them, being rules to run a society by, begin with 'Do This' and end up being 'Do as I say, not as I do'.
That I can't get on board with.

LOS ANGELES - Kevin Federline's lawyer is aiming for the jugular in his new custody battle for the two sons he fathered with Britney Spears - and he has called in an ex-Israeli commando to help.
Early yesterday morning, K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, sent security expert Aaron Cohen out to track down and subpoena Spears' assistant Alli Sims, who is also the singer's cousin.
Also in Cohen's cross hairs was Spears' music producer Jonathan (J.R.) Rotem. Kaplan wants both questioned under oath about Spears' alleged erratic - and sometimes dangerous - parenting skills.
Cohen caught up with the pair at a Hollywood Hills bash at 2:30 a.m.
"He infiltrated the grounds and said, 'Are you Alli Sims? Here is a legal document ... you have been served,'" a source said. "Cohen knows his stuff. He was in the Israeli Army. Let's put it this way, if Alli were a terrorist, she would have been taken down."
Still inside was Spears herself, who was said to be furious.
Kaplan filed custody documents in Los Angeles Superior Court last week demanding Federline get full custody.
The papers didn't stop Spears from hitting the party or other L.A. hot spots over the weekend, including her new favorite, Winston's bar, in West Hollywood.
Spears in recent weeks has been photographed out late with her sons, 11-month-old Jayden James and Sean Preston, 23 months old.Jo Piazza

I love how instead of party crashing it's "He infiltrated the grounds" if you are an ex-Israeli commando.

The good news is that with Britney's continued mental breakdown, I am that much closer to sleeping with her. When I tell the story I will be banging her just before she started dating Timberlake and not when she was a bloated psychotic mess, of course.

But if he gets her pregnant it looks like he could sue for custody and live it up on the million dollar child support payments. It's quite a dilemma, would you be willing to get something like herpes or hepatitis if it made you a millionare? I doubt she has any of the fatal STDs...

I will suffer through anything that a good dose of antibiotics will clear up for the sake of the experience. I don't relish the thought of any keeper diseases (like children), however. I just couldn't bear to watch a child with half my genes struggle to tie its own shoes at age 13.
Or I could just SIIHP to avoid the nasty pregnancy issues.

It's a sad world when K-fed honestly appears to be the better parent. On the plus side those kids will have an awesome book deal when they finally get away from their parents.

They are just doing what they can with the skills they have. Some parents set up trust funds -- this is their way of doing the same.
