I usually go for a QB or top wideout before a RB. RB's are just so random these days, it's almost impossible to pick which one is going to be a hit or going to hit the injured reserve.

I try to draft a kicker first and I hope everyone follows that advice in the f13 league.

Dumb question but the drat order for the JV league isn't confirmed yet right?  That will happen tomorrow before the draft?

I think it happens right before the draft.

It sets itself like an hour before.

I will likely miss the draft due to other shit that's come up.  Enjoy skullfucking my auto-drafted team this year.

I always auto-draft.  Just pre-rank your stuff and it usually ends up fine.

Now watch me get three kickers and Tampa Bays defense.

Yahoo does not like my draft. Gave me a D+ and shit all over it while not saying anything constructive at all. Alfred Morris was a bad pick where I got him?  Ok, why?  What would have been a better choice?

Anyway it's just going off projected points which probably is the least accurate and laziest way to predict fantasy football you could think of.  If you just drafted based on who remaining had the highest project point total you'd be worse off than if you'd auto drafted. At least the default ranks had a little bit of thought put into them.

Main league is tomorrow, Jr. League was today.

Yahoo gave me a C draft rating. Yeah, their projections are shit.

Well, what other criteria should it use to judge your draft?  I look at my roster compared to both of yours, and I would way rather have my roster.  Yahoo is doing more or less the same.

Of course, we can all agree that how things play out in real life can be something else entirely.  I took some big gambles (even though I auto-drafted, I surprisingly got more or less exactly what I was going after) on players with recent injury history.  If they stay healthy, you are all toast.  If not, I am toast.

Sam Bradford blew out his ACL. So if you got him, well for one thing you were dumb.

But in this case maybe autodraft fucked you too.

Might make it tougher on Zac Stacy though, since opponents can put like 9 men in the box now.

Let's proceed to the draft discussion.  I am not trying to pick on anyone, but just sharing my opinion.

Best Draft: Roosters
I really like the strength of the core with Charles, Foster and Luck.  Patterson should be solid but that pick and injury to Foster are the big risks.  There are always several young WRs that the pro fantasy guys love that don't live up.

Worst Draft: Ex-Presidents
The autopicker fucked you.  Not a surprise. You have a ton of SF players and got a kicker in the 8th round.

Attack Monkies also looks strong but I think Doug Martin is a total bust so I could not give him Best Draft.

Best Autopicker: The Invalids
Major WR power on this team with Bryant and Green. RB is a shit show but that is a workable problem when injuries start happening.  I think RGIII has a good year as well so while the picker drafted him higher than necessary, it should work out ok.

For my team, I usually refuse to take RB first unless they are high PPR players like the top three, but I felt I would still get a strong QB if I let that position slip into round 2.  I picked Maclin too early for his value but if I didn;t grab more WRs then, I would have to depend on stretches.  I was shocked that I had a good crop of back up RBs to choose from at the end.

I was really just picking value which forced me to grab Forte at 7th spot instead of A.A.Ron.

Other value picks: Matt Ryan & Edelman & Jennings. Guys that I would not have taken unless they were falling to me.  Matt Ryan might have a good year, but I'm not confident at all.

So I picked up Cutler as back up.  Ugh.

Really not happy about anyone on my team.  I should've picked for fun!

Ah well, at least I got Gordon for 3 games this year.

I am counting on him to revert to form, personally.  I moved him up my rankings to basically ensure I got him.  If he stays healthy, he should do okay in a Lovie Smith game plan.

I did the same for Gronk.  I may look like a total idiot by the end of the year.

MrHat - Cutler might tear shit up this year in Fantasy.  He's got some pretty impressive weapons around him now, and possibly better protection.  He can go 8-8 and still toss for a mile.  OTOH, I have been saying this exact same thing for the past 5 years.

I got Romo as my backup, and I am actually pretty happy about that.

Hey Murgos - you are Tebow's Comeback, yes?  Can't help but notice that you have roughly 8 starting RBs on your team.  As such, I am curious if you would consider trading one of them for a WR.  I have, for example, Mike Wallace on my bench who on top of being a dick will probably also go over 70 receptions and 1000 this year.  I also have Emmanual Sanders who, given Wes Welker's recent decapitation, might catch 40 touchdowns or so.

Same goes for any of you in need of a WR.  Mind you, I am only looking for top shelf RB talent.  Just testing the waters here.

Hey folks, since I missed the boat on both f13 leagues this year, I'm going to run a Yahoo league and could use some more bodies.  PM me if you're interested in playing.

E: Due to scheduling issues, we're going to be drafting a week from tomorrow.

Ya, Roosters team seems so stacked at starters.  Even the bench has some great depth guys with Miller and Sanders.

JV.  And yeah, Sanders is looking like a potential monster in that offense, so I wouldn't trade him (at this point) for anything but a top RB.

Since I have not been paying any attention to football this year, are we doing a Pick 'Em thing again? I am not a fantasy football person... but I like picking teams that I think will end up losing.

Noted...but don't hold your breath  awesome, for real  Also, fuck Riley Cooper in his earhole.

I was thinking about putting Sanders in my starting lineup before I even heard about Welker's injury.  Good chance I will put Harvin on the bench until we know how he will be used in the offense.  So in other words, I don't think I would trade Sanders for a bench RB.  Wallace OTOH...

I think Cutler throws 30TDs this year so he was a steal that deep in the draft.  The question is how many INTs.  As a reminder, INTs cost double (-2) in our league versus the default.  Still, 2700 yds, 30 TDs and 15 INTs = 258pts = 16pts per game which is solid.

I debated drafting Cutler as my backup, then realized he'd probably be injured for at least the quarter of the season I would need him to cover bye weeks.  why so serious?
