Still no word from Carnifex, and he hasn't been on Steam to accept my friend invite.  Ohhhhh, I see.

OK - I'm pretty exhausted from this week's various nonsense so I am not sure how late I'll be up, but if we can't do tonight I should be available from 9 PM (maybe a bit earlier) til whenever my time tomorrow as well.

Well, I'm GMT-5. and to start t least a general time frame, would something in the range of sat-evening to sun-morning-ish (my time) work for ya?

(Sorry, right now my brain is somehow not able to fathom just how the time difference works in Australia, which for some reason is where I'm assuming you are.)
Yep, that makes me about 15 hours ahead of you.
Your Saturday evening should be fine.

Lamaros and I got our game on, with another 1-0 result to The Banned:

The game was pretty close to a tie, as I got off to an early deficit in number of bodies on the field thanks to some clawing action from the Underworld team. I was able to gum the works up enough to prevent a first half score, then after some pushing and shoving got a ghoul loose into his backfield in the 2nd half with the ball and successfully remained standing through a number of blocks and blitzes, Nuffle be damned (one of the blitzes was 4 dice worth of 50% chances to get knocked over and Lamaros rolled 4 pushes). He had I think three chances to equalize via throw-teammate over the last 3 turns, but the rats and goblins refused to cooperate and hand the ball off to each other on the last 2 turns after the first throw attempt was fumbled by the troll.

WUA and my kicker zombie leveled up, but I will be missing a flesh golem and my slow dauntless zombie against Gruntle in my final week (possibly saving my FG from a clawing at the hands of Mr. Big). I maimed and/or killed a few replaceable goblins but I'm pretty sure I didn't permanently hurt anyone important.

Sidekicks - 1
Fursecution - 2

Sidekicks were on top till turn 14, then the Gutter Runner's showed up, skaven bullshit kicked in, and left my guys looking foolish.

This is likely to the Sidekick's final match, as I'm out of the country from tuesday - so will have to concede day 7.

Thanks for the game and well played Iain.

Right as the fat lady starts singing, Fursecution post their first win for this season with the Halflings giving up three points.

Eldaec spent the usual mountain of inducements on Deeproot, Zara, a Masterchef, a bonus reroll and Babes. The Chef took 2 rerolls in the first half and one in the second, Deeproot did nothing other than hold territory but Zara earned her pay for the match.

I kicked to start hoping that I could murder enough Halflings in the first half to make it hard for the Storm to score later in the game and open up the field for some final-period Skaven Bullshit. That didn't really work, the Halflings managed to push me around enough and took more Skaven off than I was expecting before castling up around Zara and escorting her to the end-zone in turn 7. I did manage to foul one of the regular roster Treemen off before halftime but the whistle blew with the Halflings in the lead.

In the second half my strategy of Hobbitocide worked a little better and when they ran forwards to mug the thrower who had fumbled a pickup I was able to clear away the defenders at the back without too many problems. I then pulled out a bit of bullshit with a Gutter Runner grabbing a triple marked ball, leaping to safety and then running and passing to a clear receiver well out of retribution range. I fucked about for a bit longer than I should have trying to take a few more Hobbits off before equalising with two turns to go.

The next drive was a des[erate scramble for both sides. The Storm could only realistically score with a flying Hobbit and I had only a slim chance of getting the ball off them before they made their play. A slim chance was all that was needed however and a 1d Gutter Runner blitz took the ball carrier down and gave the ball to the lucky rat who made a couple of GfIs to get out of immediate trouble. Zara knocked him down but unfortunately for the Storm, the ball bounced into the hands of another Gutter Runner who was providing Cover. The Halflings tried to surround him but I made the series of dodges required to get free before running in the winner on my last turn. The Storm needed a lucky scatter on the kick to be in with a chance of equalising in their last turn but it didn't happen and that was the match. I have two rats missing the next game and a level on a Stormvermin.

Actually I am on paternity leave for the next 2 weeks so we have a chance of making this happen. Just depends if I can find any time during the day to sit for a couple of hours. If you can give me a day that would definitely help.
Ok, I have secured a laptop!  I'm only borrowing it though, so we really need to hammer out a time quick.  Our hotels internet is criminally bad though.  Left it downloading the game at about 50 kb/s when I took off for class this morning.  Hopefully it will be downloaded and ready on my return.  When is a good time for you?  I am ready every weekday after 8 AM your time (4 PM my time).  I can potentially play any time after that for the next 8 hours, but sooner is better since I'm kind of going out almost every night, and don't want to miss to much fun.  Manila is one crazy fun fucking place, haha.

So yeah, just let me know when you can sit down for an hour or so, and we should be able to make it happen.

Huitzilopochtli's Gift 2 - 1 Muscle Daddies

Bloody game, as a contest between champions of Khorne should be. Drogg seemed to have all the armour breaks go his way in the first half, but suffered a devastating rout late in the second, just after he equalised to put the game at one-all. With four turns left to play, he still managed to knock both of my ball-carriers down (blodge doing work), but a lucky throw from the crowd ended the game in my favour.

So me and roxor played. It was a gutwrenching first half(score 1-1) but then suddenly my BB crashed. FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU does not even begin to cover it.

We talked about it and decided we're gonna draw the game if that is ok.

Highlights include a ball bouncing 3 times between downed dudes and finally into the hands of a human lino, and a gutter runner getting trolled by tackle and taken off the field.

Unfortunately, at turn 8 with a 1:1 score the transmission with CabalVision got severed as Blood Bowl decided to crash and burn, and so the two coaches decided to go for a friendly draw because after the fairly crazy first half, nobody really wanted to tempt fate again (or actually play again because them BB crashes in the middle of the game are frustrating as all hell)

However, the humans obviously emerged as the moral victor!  why so serious?

Sorry about that Reborne, I'd managed to keep myself logged on to steam most of the weekend while dealing with a few pressing matters (fuckin' career changes, as being a struggling poor ass student wasn't fun enough the first time around), I guess we ended up being the pair of awkward teenagers waiting for the other to ask them to dance.  awesome, for real

As for now, my new schedule just kicked in (hooray for unpayed internships! *grumble*) so I might be able to swing an 8am ish game tomorrow before the fun 13 hour day I've got waiting for me. Would be a bit of a hail mary though, as I'll know for sure if I'll be able to swing that when I get home tonight (oh, and if I'm completely silent, all signs will point to 'No').

(Oh, and do pardon the bitterness atm, am just now setting in for my coffee before I have to dash, so Happy Super CheeryTM stabby has yet to be summoned for the day.)

If it doesn't happen, give him the win, because its completely my fault there is an issue at all.

Well, atm I don't think I'll be swinging any early morning games, am too dead tired when I get home and cutting back on sleep is liable to lose me a finger, most likely one of the more useful ones.

Definitely won't be able to play until the weekend, so do what you gotta do IainC

Haardous Hippies 1 - The Minizilla's 2

Me and Teleku managed to get our game in and this looked like not being a fun affair for Teleku who the dice were not kind to in the first half and his last play of the opening drive was to throw the ball into the waiting arms of Saurus of all things who Waltzed up the pitch to open the scoring. Despite my rather bash centric team I was not able to really inflict any injuries except an opening blitz KO on the wardancer who woke up after the first score and then the Nuffle love returned for the elves who got a short kick that their catcher diving catch held, handed off to a caged thrower and moved 3 players into scoring position. I blitz into the cage and mark up what I can, double mark 2 of the 3 elves but make the mistake of not double marking the Wardancer so when the thrower makes his dodge and pass and the Wardancer holds the pass it's a quick dodge and away to equalise. I set things up for a 2 turn score and everything works fine except I need a reroll to turn double skulls into a push but that still gives me a shot if my sprint skink can make the touchline through his 3 GFI, makes the first but fumbles the second for a 1-1 first half closure.

Second half I am receiving and decide to try and grind Teleku down and he makes one fatal mistake that probably cost him the game. He left his Wardancer on the sideline in surf range to my frenzy saurus who accepted the gift, scored a POW and killed the spikey haired bitch! Fortunately I don't have to feel too bad as Teleku apothed that to a MNG injury but this now meant that he had few options for breaking my cages and despite some excellent elvish bullshit leap and dodge attempts that actually worked but didn't score the required POWs after a few turns it became obvious that the elves couldn't break my cage so he just passed his last couple of turns and I ran in a turn 16 touchdown to take the match 2-1.

Match is uploaded to BB manager.

Alright I fucked this up and validated the match but didn't see that it gave the default win to Roxor so the stats will show that he won 3-1. However for the purposes of playoffs etc, I'll count it as a 1-1 tie. Sorry about that.
